It sounds like the kids are now on their knees. Unfortunately there is little option but to carry on. Sunderland had 8 first teamers out tonight due to a Covid outbreak, but still had to play the fixture. The bench was made up of 5 U23s who played yesterday and 2 first teamers who were still recovering from injury. That means the benchmark for L1 fixture fulfilment has been set that any less than 8 Covid cases in your squad and you will be expected to play.
Crewe & Bristol Rovers might be shitting themselves tonight about potential punishments for calling games off for much less of an outbreak.
15 December 2020 at 9:42 pm #190357I think the young lads are playing at their absolute limit. With a couple of games within the space of a few days it has caught up with them. They seemed ‘leggy’ which is understandable. With most of our experienced players out injured we are desperate for reinforcements. At least we have not been cut adrift at the bottom. There is still hope ,but we need to act fast !
15 December 2020 at 10:18 pm #190358Due to circumstances we have not got enough experienced players to rotate the squad,
We need the EFL to their make Decision on the takeover before the January Transfer Window.16 December 2020 at 9:24 am #190360We do Springy lad. But I feel they are dragging this out on purpose. Cristo has left the building. I’m presuming the EFL were satisfied originally with Moreno, so really have no idea what the hold up is now.
BTW, where were our senior pros last night?
16 December 2020 at 9:43 am #190361We just never got going. They shot out the blocks and made their pressure count. We’re always going to struggle to chase a game and have nobody on the bench that can really turn a game on its head.
Defensively we were por again and they looked like they would score at every opportunity. Could have been worse in all honesty.

It’s all gone mysteriously quiet on the takeover front. We need an answer from the EFL ,hopefully a yes ,then we can move on.As regards the senior pros ,it’s strange how they are all injured together.I just get the feeling they are counting the clock down waiting for January ,their agents have probably already lined up moves for them.
16 December 2020 at 11:23 am #190363Just a pity the senior pros cant show the same commitment the fans did a couple of months ago. Wankers!
Fuck the EFL
16 December 2020 at 11:25 am #190364I’ve seen elsewhere that the EFL are meeting tomorrow. Hopefully it’s good news
16 December 2020 at 11:55 am #190365This is our problem, our younger players have not got enough experienced
players in the team to give some of the younger players the confidence they need
and give them a rest, and bring in the younger players in 2 or 3 at a time. There is no way this squad is big enough or experienced enough
to carry us through this season.16 December 2020 at 12:31 pm #190366I’ve seen elsewhere that the EFL are meeting tomorrow. Hopefully it’s good news
They meet every week I think they said at the start.
As for Moreno, he will need to prove he has the extra 1m needed and that is hasnt come from loans or from cristo. If he does that he will probably get in. Seems daft though as nithing stops cristo coming in later. Should be 1 out all out.
At least these senior pros have stayed at the club and turned out this season. The rest couldnt wait to leave and kicked and screamed until they did. Some louder than others apparently.
Poor performanace last night and won’t be our last hiding i’d say. Think that’s 2 absolute shockers now alongside crewe.
16 December 2020 at 3:32 pm #190367Luckily we have not yet been cut adrift from the bottom half of the table,
but, we need the experienced players back, unless they are being ‘moth-balled’
to be sold in January by the Admins.16 December 2020 at 5:38 pm #190369And where are the senior skiving bastards now when most needed when the young lads are flat out? If they are not playing they should go on minimum wage, miraculous recoveries all round i’ll bet!
Get the useless gets out of the club, start afresh if we ever get sorted before the end of January, they won’t be missed anyway!
Fuck the EFL
