28 August 2010 at 1:35 pm #44417Heard that Wembley is a sell out today, couple of mates gone for the weekend.
28 August 2010 at 10:31 pm #44511The BBC were reporting that all bar 60 seats in the away end at Spurs were empty today.
It takes some effort to beat a travelling “army” of 134, but congratulations to those thousands who made the effort not to attend today.

So if 74,500 out of 93,00 is a full house, thenm yes well done.
I am actually amazed that 74,500 turned up, but I guess a lot were free tickets to the ‘Wembley Club’ as well.

The attendance was actually 85k+ as this states here.
The only empty seats were Club Wembley as every general sale ticket had been sold.
The Wembley capacity is 90,000 as this shows.
29 August 2010 at 11:46 pm #4464530 August 2010 at 5:51 am #44690Re empty seats i now think its time we gave the visiting fans the East stand again like we did some seasons ago.
I know this may sound wrong to some but lets be honest when we get much bigger teams than us like Everton United, or Bolton we could easily fill that stand and put some more money back in the pot.
I don’t think Mr Whelan will continue to prop up our club and quite right too, we have to think again with this recession needs must for me.
Great result latics at Spurs come on top 8 for me this season :)
