and considering Birmingham were housed behind one goal, with over 60% of the bottom tier and the entire top tier being empty, I’d say that 17,000 home fans for a live TV game against an unfashionable side was a pretty good turnout.
If it had been Bolton v Chelsea and Chelsea had brought 4,000, there would have been over 20K on.

After five years I’ve finally summoned up the balls to troll a Latics forum because we’ve won the M62 Hub Cap and had a handfull of matches with attendances comparable to Latics. Unfortunately this feat has been relegated to the news in brief section and totally overshadowed by Latics win over Spurs so I have to boost my ego by posting here.
I also watch wendyball (clever put down don’t you think) but can’t admit to that as I follow an out of town team and feel like a prick for missing out on this towns greatest ever sporting achievement.
Many of my rotund fellow rugby fans do support their local team……….but they are from Bolton, Preston etc. and feel rather put out Latics have exceeded their teams performances in recent years.
Oh how I wish my sport was the world game and I didn’t have to bang on about local this, local that to cover up my sports failure to expand beyond the end of my back garden.
Still I enjoy this trolling lark and will try and convince Latics fans their club is being propped up by the rugby as I don’t want to believe Latics are one of the best run clubs in football.’
Heard that Wembley is a sell out today, couple of mates gone for the weekend.

Together with concern’s raised by Structural Engineer’s fearing a Pancake style collapse of the stadia due to the excessive weight of klump supporter’s. ;)there’s an awfull lot of people that go to the rugby showpiece who are not necesarily rugby fans, or don’t follow either team that is in the final, they go only for a weekend ont lash, and thousands have been doing so for years
Oh and I was told that the warrington fans behind the posts were so bored with the game, they decided to have a fight between themselvs, quite a few involved, i’m told.

Heard today that it was the lobbiegobblers fighting with the Warrington mob :shock:
there was some young, very drunk lobbygobblers monkeying, leigh east players i think, at the services ont toll road late sunday afternoon. i saw one bloke after giving them a smacking, but his wife dragged him away, they tried baiting some of my larger mates, but they basically ignored them
They will be Wigan idiots don’t worry they always pretend to be someone else. They just really get up my nose lets root them out grass them up to the Police i say get them all banned. If i find out any names i will ring crimestoppers or something and Dob them in i will they don’t scare me. I will point them out to them football Police if i see them in my stand don’t worry.
