If you also consider that we have let Luke Robinson, James Carragher & Harry McHugh go out on loan; who in my opinion could step up for more first team football and would put in a good shift, because they have something to prove and aim for !!!
If these boys (young men) aren’t ready in SM’s opinion, then they will never break into our team with his “risk averse” strategy. I find it sad that we do not give them any real chance.
So we’ll develop 2 out of every 100 juniors into first team material; give them 12 to 18 months football, then sell on in the hope of a big windfall, then start the process again. Is it worth the effort ?????
