That’s a fair point. I remember wondering at the time he said that who might ocme in but in fact he’s changed nothing. I’m not actually convinced he should, but why say it if he doesn’t intend doing it?

So wingers are allowed to out sprint our defenders week in week out then ?Bearing in mind Ramis is a centre half, the answer is yes! You’d always back a winger in a race against a centre half because your wingers are commonly the quickest lads on the pitch. Fitness isn’t the issue – it’s pace.
One might question where was Boyce ! Not that he would have been quick enough ! Are you watching left wingers up and down the country ! Right wingers can also take heart ! The middle is ok but the outside bit ….Well !!

To the essence of the issue (about time you did # … ) – sub-standard defender/form – practically week in /out.
Metaphor was taken to support my initial personal opinion view after the Chelsea game. I didn’t pass it off as my own (source was quoted).It has however remained most apt (why re-invent the wheel ?)

watched the first half, we were lucky to get out of our own half never mind have any decent chances. why when we play away do we look like we’ve come for a point only to start playing when we go behind. poor tactics for me from martinez, we should be going away to teams like swansea trying to win the game and ive said it all season the defence isn’t good enough, even at southampton we were lucky. somthing needs to change or its going to be another long season, three points a must on saturday now.
