I blame Cook (sorry wrong thread) UTFT.
1 July 2020 at 2:22 pm #187469I doubted these new new owners from Day one, as did one or two others if I remember.
I also advised people not to have a laugh at the expense of Bolton, as it could quite easily happen to us.
I just hope a buyer can be found ASAP!The moment we were handed over this June I said that’s us fooked. From then we no longer had to answer to the stock exchange. We were owned by a company no one knew a sh!t about. Faceless owners and chairmen who rarely spoke. The writing was on the wall. Im not shocked one bit. Now it’s time for the players to stick 2 fingers up to the League and keep us up.
4pts aint alot
UP THE FCUKIN TICS & FCUK THE IEC and their faceless 10 bob puppets
1 July 2020 at 2:27 pm #187470Siege mentality, need to gain four or five more points than the bottom three between now and the end of the season to be more that 12 points clear and avoid relegation. Current form would suggest we can do it, but this must shatter the lads. Interesting to see the impact on contracts, players may be able to just walk away
1 July 2020 at 2:41 pm #187471Absolutely! Having a club to support remains THE number one priority. I just hope the team dont turn around & think stuff it, what’s the point!
1 July 2020 at 2:47 pm #187472Having a club to support is the absolute priority as you say. Staying in the championship will help that.
We need 3 wins from 6 I reckon.
1 July 2020 at 4:11 pm #187473Makes you wonder whether the manager and players knew what was going on behind the scenes and have been busting a gut ever since to try to keep us in this division.
1 July 2020 at 4:26 pm #187474Listen, having a club in the Championship will be far far easier to sell than trying to sell a club in League One.
The main priority is to stay up then find a buyer willing to take on a club playing Championship football next year.
Were not weighed in debt, were a well run club, two codes playing under a pandemic that will one day be gone.
I think at least 15-20 clubs are hanging on by a nats pube and were only the tip of the iceberg, were the first of many. Are the cnuts at EFL gonna deduct them all ??.
At the IEC saw this coming so the used a puppet / sole owner to pull the plug so they don’t have to answer to the Hong Kong stock exchange.
He came in the new owner (not a fcukin clue what his name is) simply to fold the club up on behalf of the IEC.Was he checked out by the EFL ?. The EFL need to check this out, I thought he had to show funds to pay wages etc for a certain amount of time ???
1 July 2020 at 4:49 pm #187477How has this happened anyway without warning or mutterings. And how the frig can the league pass this mon as fit and proper and we are in administration before the ink is dry on the document. This stinks to the rafters.
1 July 2020 at 5:06 pm #187478I know nothing about running a business not administration but this seems far to quick an option. We only had three more weeks to go then sort it out, why now after 3 months if surving lockdown? You hear of other clubs not paying wages surely s loan … Hello Mr Whean help would have been a better option.
1 July 2020 at 5:15 pm #187479We have asset after asset on the pitch. Have bought Euxton, the soccer dome etc. Why announce and devalue club with 12 points now? Makes no sense whatsoever. No warnings. Nothing. Surely any potential 12 point deduction is open to appeal. We are in the midst of a global pandemic FFS. These bastards signed the owners off like some have said. What the fucks going on.
1 July 2020 at 5:42 pm #187481Did anyone have an inkling this may happen coz nothing is making sense. Antonee is gonna bring in 10 mill so why is this happening and why impose the point deduction immediately without giving the club a chance to sort it. This is not sitting right for me.
1 July 2020 at 5:43 pm #187482I’m very shocked to hear this news. Administration is not the end of the world – Leicester & Southampton came back stronger. You are not relegation fodder, and a couple of wins against Hull & Charlton should see you safe and back next season, hopefully stronger for the experience and with an owner who gives a shit.
It does beg questions about ownership though – particularly those without a pot to piss in, and it seems as Wigan & Sunderland have something in common in that respect.
Good luck.
1 July 2020 at 5:48 pm #187483Can someone sensibly answer me this, I thought the EFL have to be show any potential future owners they have funds in the bank so to speak to fund the club for a minimum of 12 months.
Without minutes and hours it was 3 weeks a fookin go when this fraud of a Chinese bellend room over.So what what did he do ? Slam a suitcase full of Ali Express money off coupons on the EFL boardroom broke and say:
你去那里混蛋了
Nǐ qù nàlǐ húndànleAnd were the Royle’s ? Gone ……
1 July 2020 at 5:56 pm #187488I’m still numb by all of this. But as a team let’s go out there & try to win every goddam game to ensure our championship status.
1 July 2020 at 6:10 pm #187491The situation stinks and I felt physically sick when I read the news this afternoon, especially gutting after the way the lads have performed since the restart.
We have 4 very winnable games in the last six. All of us, no exceptions, must get behind the boys more than ever. The future of the club is quite literally at stake. Get the 12 points back on the pitch and tell the EFL where to stick their deduction.
We are Wigan…never give up, give in or surrender
