11 July 2013 at 1:06 am #117658I take it you agree with the likes of garswood then, he’d have us believe that Martinez has virtually nothing to do with signings & contracts, must have been Whelan who fancied raiding Swansea then, apologies all round I stand corrected, It’ll just be Kenwright who took a shine to Kone too .
You play too much Championship manager, mate. Managers identify targets, CEOs and Chairmen decide how much/if to go ahead and therefore the contracts. If you seriously think that a football coach gets involved in release clauses/sell-on clauses etc, then you’re as daft as we already thought you were.
11 July 2013 at 1:24 am #117659I haven’t played Championship Manager, though I can imagine you win the league on there every night, special one !
I think some Managers get very involved in signings and like to know exactly what they’re getting, how likely it is they will lose them if they have buy out or relegation clauses etc .
Why didn’t Roberto take the Liverpool or Villa jobs, on the face of it they’re better jobs, particularly Liverpool, maybe it’s because he would have had very little to do with signings and he didn’t fancy that .11 July 2013 at 1:30 am #117660Can we move on now bobbys gone and Owen is in charge now so let’s look forward to a great season .
11 July 2013 at 1:35 am #117661Ok The Saint, Breaking news though :- Everton have just had a £5 million bid rejected for the FA Cup

11 July 2013 at 1:57 am #117665You need to go back and read your messages, you tried to say you knew exactly who does everything regarding signings, contracts and clauses, I won’t resort to calling you silly names though .
My whole point on this thread is very simple, I thought a lot of RM and now I can’t hide my disappointment .11 July 2013 at 1:58 am #117666Ok The Saint, Breaking news though :- Everton have just had a £5 million bid rejected for the FA CupLol:-)

I said I don’t know why he didn’t go to Liverpool or Villa.
I did, and still do, know how football transfers work.
Please, please don’t try to tell me how to read and write.
11 July 2013 at 2:10 am #117669As I said earlier, I believe Managers involvement differs depending on who they are and the clubs they’re involved with, we disagree and I can handle that, not sure that giving my opinion automatically makes you right .
11 July 2013 at 3:01 am #117670Manager signs players from former club shock.
In other news, the sun is hot.
11 July 2013 at 3:02 am #117671You are either too busy on Championship Manager or you are accepting that there is substance to my opinion, very good, I may even go & buy your book as I have a log burner on the go when the weather’s nice x
