very good once again garswood – that was about the time i first went to watch the latics – although we actually spent most of the games under what was known as the ‘owd codgers stand’ which you can see to the left hand side of the st andrews drive covering – i wont call it a stand.

non of that side was terraced then, it was just a shale bank, it was brilliant under that seating area listening to all the owd blokes(or the seemed so to me at that age) cursing and swearing, even better near bonfire night setting bangers off under it and the aged gents shouting “hey eff off you little buggers” tickled us no end.

who said we have no history – imagine top six sides fans being able to do that.

had some great memory’s from the old springy
reminded me of the time when in mid 70’s me and pey banks went
and we climbed over the st andrews wall
only for me to land right inbetween two coppers
needless to say i was out quicker than i got in
oh the good old days

“4 times,we won it 4 times, cheshire League championship trophy , we won it 4 times”

who said we have no history bet them ‘cheshire set’ giants from old trafford never won that.

They all look at bid ‘ard; not like today’s big jessies. God knows what Mr Craig has got on his head, but I wouldn’t have said that to him.

Garswood, young lad (front-row right end) is a mate of mine – any chance I could have a copy of this to pass on to him please?

(Sorry should have said – the one before the friendly, with Roy Tunks and Sir Bobby on).
