I get the word stability that keeps being bandied about however what i dont get is the words For sale which puts a completely different slant on proceedings.

The word unstable springs to mind, no build for the future in the playing squad other than a make do and mend policy and i am sorry to say this  i can only see Non League Football on the horizon.

That was on the cards in 1994-1995  before DW came in on his white charger and took the club into an upward direction almost overnight.

Rest assured its league 2 and non league football after that , make no bones about it !

Grim times ahead indeed, no more words to be said.

Well that was a turn up for the books!!! If the muppets can’t put it in from a yard then just smash it in from 25 yards x3

Really enjoyed tonight even though the ref was a complete tosser

It was a simple case of youth bringing energy and forward thinking style of football. Young Walsh and Grey were shining lights and a breath of fresh air.

It just shows you what you can achieve when you look up and forward rather than, foot on the ball, roll it forward with the studs then pass sideways.

You can clearly see the culture and style that’s been ingrained into their DNA at top class academies.

Then young Borrowes comes on, he receives it froma brilliant cross from Murray then rather than try to take his man on with a rush of blood and steal the limelight he lays a death pass to Weir who bangs it home.

That lad could have easily gone for it but again, training in top set ups makes him aware that others are in a better position and not to be greedy.

All in all a good performance, high energy and Whitworth definitely looks like a maverick risk taker who doesn’t give a sh!t but I think keepers need attitude.

Oh and Burn at the back had a solid performance and can only improve.

Saturday will be a true acid test against a car stronger side than the 4 we faced so far .

Stockport have that experience and there coming of a loss at Luton. They’ve scored 16 in 6 cup & league but on the same token they’ve conceded 10 so it looks like a game of goals.

But overall it was actually enjoyable, some good skills on show and a huge improvement from the opening day

And like I said it would be an acid test for us and we got well and truly burnt.

The game was lost in midfield, we weren’t able to deal with a 4 and sometimes 5 man press.

The 1st goal was a superb assist by Power,

2nd goal was a long hopeful Stockport punt gets headed back into our non existent midfield some woeful tackles

                0-2

But for me as I said no strength in the middle. A 17 & 18 just doesn’t cut it.

I thought Cze looked ok but by this time Stockport had dug in deep but again we cannot hit the target. The only shot we had on target was Cze’s effort that stung the hands of their keeper.

Barrett had a good chance from 6 yards out and couldn’t hit the target, then the scramble that hit the post again not on target.

Basically it was men against boys and before Caldwell says we got better in the second half?,

That was because they were 3 up and they’d simply dropped back in and just tried their luck on the counter

Right now we’re a million miles away and the only finish I can see is lower bottom half finish

I agree with a bottom half, but still think there’s at least 4 worse sides in this division. We saw one of them on Wednesday night. Bromley have had a couple of proper thrashings and will also struggle.

Many of the signings are still bedding in. We should have a clearer picture come the end of October.

I’m not sure there is 4 worst sides . Tinkerman 2 worrying more about the opposition instead of sticking with Wednesdays set up.  Their midfield made ours look like exactly what they are ,kids on a steep learning curve. Playing Costelloe on his own was poor management. Teamed with Perkins on Wednesday we looked a lot better offensively albeit I personally don’t think they have a goal in the pair of them, and there is our biggest problem. With the window shut its time for Scott Hogan to make an appearance. Been training with us ,just needs a pay per play contract and throw him in. He can’t be a worse finisher than the 2 up top now !!! Games like Wednesday and Leicester on the horizon we certainly can’t afford to squander the few chances we may get ,so what other options are there ?

I can’t even be bothered debating it all anymore, I have to be honest.

I feel Ive been ripped off for nearly £700 for our season tickets.  In all seriousness, if I felt they would meet me and refund me for them, minus the games gone, I would happily take that and walk away. Done. I really would.

I feel I have been defrauded my misrepresentation. Yes, there’s never amy guarantee with football. But at least do the basics what are required. And I don’t feel Latics have. I will tell you something else. They won’t get another penny off me now. We were considering the shirts…but no chance. Not giving them a penny.

Not a cat in hells chance I am sitting through a season of games like yesterday, and nor should anybody else. I’ve come to the conclusion our manager is also part of the problem. I wasn’t a fan the first time, I’m not a fan now. He’s not a good manager. Basic errors and baffling tactics and selection.

Lying gets as well. No way was there 10k home fans on. No chance. About 2.5k in East Stand. Was very sparse.

And the overall thing is unless someone miraculously comes in and buys us and chucks some money at it, I think we are heading, at best, towards being Non-League, and at worse, folding. Am I serious? Damn right I am. If we don’t get sorted I think we will be done within 2 seasons.

These lot HAVE stripped us of all assets…deny it if you will, but its true. We’ve nothing left. If he ‘gifts’ the club to the Supporters Club, which I think will happen eventually, there will not be anybody left to even sell to get money to tick the club over. No value in this squad, and so many are loan players again. Thats a very dangerous game for a club in Latics position.

I really do fear the worst by way of an ending to all this. We are no better off than under the last couple of owners. Just treating water as we have done for the last 7 years. We are like a smack head who’s been taking things to ‘Cash Generator’ to survive. We’ve took the telly, hi-fi system, nans old jewelery, mobile phones. All we have left is the carpets. Well, that’s Latics.

                      Knackered.

Tell it as it is !…..Have to say I wholeheartedly agree. 4 defeats in 5 particularly against 3 poor sides isn’t good. Fans through the turnstiles my arse. Success on the grass is the best way to increase feel good factor and revenue. Yes every other supporter nurturing scheme is welcome but this owner has dismantled everything this club has strived to build on since league re-election. Not 1 player can be classed as a saleable asset, the ground tired and unwelcoming and the tripe on the pitch tops it off. A team propped up with loanee academy kids, trying to service probably the 4 most inept strikers this club has had as a group together. All summer to try and recruit……it was blindingly obvious what was needed after Taylors International Rescue impersonation. Do we ???…..Nah. Dont need one was the feeling I got after his Manchester radio interview. Doesn’t seem to like the big target man up top but creamed himself discussing Kyle Wooton as impossible to play against. Along with Jack Diamond and wood aiding  they are a formidable attacking  partnership. We had Costelloe as usual running himself silly with no end product. Come on …….I don’t rekon Saydee,Costelloe, Perkins,Sze will get 12 goals between them all season. So the blame firmly lies at the feet of league 1’s wealthiest owner. For sale????…..Let’s see how many potential buyers are around if we drop……..F###### miser.

So that’s your response is it? Head in the sand.

Nothing good about the club at the moment.

It’s going to be a season of 1 step forward, 3 steps back. All season. A bottom 2 finish is what I said over the summer, and I still stand by that. Will be amazed if Caldwell makes Christmas. Thing is, I think if that happens, our attendances will be that low, they’ll only be opening the West Stand.

                            Already looking at missing games.
