….if what Blackpool did to us was not a fluke, then we are in for a torrid, torrid time. Martinez may well be the first manager in premier league history to conced 20 goals in 3 games.
21 August 2010 at 7:39 pm #43490So where you expecting Blackpool to win at The Emirates then?
21 August 2010 at 7:41 pm #43491So where you expecting Blackpool to win at The Emirates then? No, but i was expecting Wigan to win at the JJB against them.

And do you also expect us to beat Chelsea today?

no – i fully expect Chelsea to score 7 goals.
21 August 2010 at 8:04 pm #43496I’ve had a hundred quid on Chelsea to win by 4 or more at 9/2

Judging by the above, it appears that you were expecting either a 7-7 draw, or an 8-7 Latics win.

No – i thought Chelsea would score 7. They will be dissappointed not to at Circus Whelan. The ringmaster Martinez will now be asked to leave with a little dignity, with a decent wedge. If he refuses and when we get turned over 5-0 at the next game, he will be sacked in disgrace.
21 August 2010 at 10:53 pm #43519Okay whatever you say, I bet you were one of those who wanted Jewell sacked when he lost a few.

And it’ll be a good night too now….
21 August 2010 at 11:09 pm #43533Okay whatever you say, I bet you were one of those who wanted Jewell sacked when he lost a few.No, didnt want Jewell sacked. But the facts remain – Martinez has a worse premiership record than Chris Hutchins – he is clueless. His post match interview had all the usual bo11ox about how he will pick us up and put it right. If he stays, the same phrase will be said by him another 36 times this season. A decent player for us in the past, but a truly awful, awful manager. Bruce Rioch was ten times the manager Bobby is, and what happened to him when he dared say “Dave, i pick the team, i say who stays or goes, im in charge of the team”
The reason Martinez is here is because he cannot say no to Whelan. Anyone that does is removed. Cant you see thats why the players and even ‘his own’ backroom staff see him as a puppet.
Wake up.
21 August 2010 at 11:11 pm #43534Wake up? What to?
Maybe you should try getting behind the team rather than calling for the manager’s head after 2 games. What help is that? And who could we replace him with? Ian Dowie?
Give the man a chance, I’d go as far as saying it’s the players more at fault than Martinez is.
21 August 2010 at 11:13 pm #43536A bit harsh. Bob is trying his best but is simply out of his depth and too scared to do anything different. He’s also lost the players who just look like scared rabbits most of the time.
He should do himself a favour and walk. Maybe go abroad and he might gain valuable experience in a less pressurised environment.
21 August 2010 at 11:17 pm #43540Get behind the team, you didn’t go did you.
The manager is at fault, it’s his team he is clueless and will be remembers as the wost managee we have ever had.
Bring Swain back!
