If you’re not going to Forest on Saturday, get yourself down to Ashton Town to cheer on/hurl abuse at Ashton’s new signing.
Pascal Chimbonda has signed for them.
Didn’t he leave us because he wanted to move on to better things?
21 January 2019 at 8:25 pm #175345He did do, to be fair.
Spurs.

Depends how you measure bigger and better things, did he win a major trophy?
From Matlock to ManU

What a journey!21 January 2019 at 9:44 pm #175353No way can anybody on here claim that Spurs is not a step up from Latics?
Ha ha. Ridiculous.
Deary me. I know who I would rather play for.
21 January 2019 at 10:47 pm #175354Do do do Chimbonda is a winker!
Disrespectful to the club, his team mates the fans and his manager.
Bullard was talking about it on soccer am Saturday, what he did was unacceptable.21 January 2019 at 11:07 pm #175355Strangely enough I do know that Spurs are a step up, so please don’t patronise me.
My point though (as though I should have to explain it), is that for all that he has ended up at Ashton Town. If he was so good he would be able to retire gracefully and with plenty in the bank, not trawl around the lower reaches for a game (with all due respect to Ashton).
He was arrogant in the way he left, totally unprofessional, and I rejoice that he is now scrabbling round for scraps.
With a better attitude he could have left with everyone’s blessings, as Baines and Valencia and others did.21 January 2019 at 11:28 pm #175357Strangely enough I do know that Spurs are a step up, so please don’t patronise me.

Bullard was talking about it on soccer am Saturday, what he did was unacceptable. That was Jimmy Bullard who left Latics for Fulham to be near to his family in the south but left Fulham to go to Hull.
22 January 2019 at 2:20 am #175366Bullard went through the correct procedure and yes we were all disappointed but he had nothing but praise for Whelan and Jewell best of luck Jimmy.
22 January 2019 at 12:09 pm #175367You cannot draw comparison between the 2. Bullard left Fulham for Hull because of a bumper pay day package at the twilight of his career.
There’s not one person here who wouldn’t do the same and cash in especially after a serious knee injury.
Chimbonda similar but he was more than just a greedy tvvat, he was a very disrespectful one as well. There’s ways to go about it especially after you’ve just reached a major Cup Final. He had he’s transfer request typed up in hand thinking we’d not get to the final.
Trophies or the size of the club meant nothing to him, it was always about the money. As for him still loving the game ? Give it a rest will ya, he’ll be fecking skint and I bet he’s still commanding high fees the greedy get
22 January 2019 at 12:36 pm #175368He handed it in after the league game didn’t he?

22 January 2019 at 2:36 pm #175370How old must he be now? Surely, he is only playing for his love of the game & to keep himself fit. I cant see him commanding a high fee at ashton town – unless there are extra pies thrown in.
