Strangely enough I do know that Spurs are a step up, so please don’t patronise me.
My point though (as though I should have to explain it), is that for all that he has ended up at Ashton Town. If he was so good he would be able to retire gracefully and with plenty in the bank, not trawl around the lower reaches for a game (with all due respect to Ashton).
He was arrogant in the way he left, totally unprofessional, and I rejoice that he is now scrabbling round for scraps.
With a better attitude he could have left with everyone’s blessings, as Baines and Valencia and others did. He,s probably eyeing up his next big move to greater things Parbold or Appley Bridge maybe.[/quote]

Quite obviously a troll
22 January 2019 at 7:04 pm #175383He handed his transfer request in the changing room at the last game at Highbury game against Arsenal. Remember Jewell fuming that there’s a “time and a place to do this and today wasn’t “…
22 January 2019 at 7:49 pm #175384Do do do Chimbonda is a winker!
Disrespectful to the club, his team mates the fans and his manager.
Bullard was talking about it on soccer am Saturday, what he did was unacceptable. The same Jimmy Bullard who (allegedly) asked/demanded a pay rise less than 12 months after his last one & when he was told no, instructed/allowed his agent to hawk him round every top flight club whilst telling them what the buy out clause in his contract was. Bearing in mind that the signing was announced 4 days after we’d played Fulham in a league game it suggests contact was possibly made prior to things becoming official
Absolute load of guff that he went to be nearer his family & I know that the club (i.e. Whelan & Jewell) was less than happy about it because he was dropped completely from the match day squad for the remaining 2 games of the season & Jewell was open that he wasn’t happy about it
Pot, kettle & black Mr Bullard!!
22 January 2019 at 7:54 pm #175385I know I’m in the minority here but I never really had much of an issue with what Chimbonda did – his timing was undoutedly poor & it isn’t the done thing but if he wanted to go (which was what I was disappointed with after we’d given him a break over here after his turbulent later time in the French league) then to me it doesn’t make a whole host of difference whether he’d said it after the Arsenal game or waited until the week after
The conduct of Bullard a few weeks earlier & even more so that of McCulloch the season after was far worse & much more disrespectful to the club in my opinion – yet these 2 are hero worshipped
never understood that

22 January 2019 at 11:36 pm #175393McCulloch wanted a move but at least he stayed and saw the season out.
23 January 2019 at 12:23 am #175395McCulloch wanted a move but at least he stayed and saw the season out.He saw the season out for one reason & one reason only – because Latics refused to sell him for the ridiculously low price that McCulloch in particular was trying to force them to sell him for. Right in the middle of a relegation battle
It had nowt whatsoever to do with any loyalty towards Latics
