ive no voice left (missis is pleased)
cracking effort from the fans tonight wish we could make that noise in all our home games.11 November 2010 at 2:41 pm #50729As I’ve mentioned before I only saw it on the telly but one thing I did comment on to the missus who was at bored watching it with me was that the atmosphere sounded dead
Her replay was that she’d rather be watching the Apprentice – You’re Fired
she should learn to book the Sky Plus earlier then
11 November 2010 at 3:20 pm #50732There was hardly any singing and apart from the fans sort of shouting the players forward it was pretty dead ! I took a friend well my barber actually and he was trying to gee the crowd up constantly shouting Wigan and standing up ( he had been drinking heavily ! ) ! He amused some but got on the nerves of others ! He isn’t a Wigan fan but likes an underdog. If you were in the East stand you would have seen or heard him. A Jamaican lad with a very loud voice ! He said on the way home that we needed 500 of him and we would be fine !! He also added that it was dead ( Apart from him that is ! ) The fact that we battered Liverpool throughout the 2nd half shut them lot right up and so it took an edge off the atmosphere ! Mind you I was pretty hoarse this morning !

11 November 2010 at 3:38 pm #50738I was going to wear mine but chose not to in the end.

11 November 2010 at 6:18 pm #50760Was that the same Jamacian barber that was relieving himself under the railway bridge between the Brick and the ground pre match – in full view of everyone passing (mums, dads, children etc)

Like I said he had been drinking heavily !! He wasnt quite under the bridge either not that I condone his actions !!

he sounded a nightmare Phil!! kinda glad i was ill in bed now.
about the singing. it might sound loud when your stood in E2 doing it but it’s not that loud to other parts of the ground trust me. the drum gets very irksome after a while as well. he means well but he only knows one rhythm. other times he just bangs it randomly . i have heard more rhythm in a log. i think if we had a samba/latin beat thing going on then it might gee up the south americans in are team and make them feel at home. just a thought like? ;)12 November 2010 at 8:23 pm #50890as for the Jamaican barber phil, he is bang on the money. apart from E2 nobody else hardly sings near us.which is a shame because when everybody sings it is loud. south sounds like a school boy international sometimes and the west well apart from the 2 man cop who more then likely gave up trying to get them going. all you can hear is moans, groans and shouting

It sometimes drowns out the snoring.

Twas quite loud where I was sitting in Es3 but then again if a few hundred more would join in instead of critising then it will get louder
