10 April 2012 at 10:37 pm #84823I take it the 9 were Wakefield fans, thus 13,600 home fans. B)
Wane out, Wane out, Wane out!!
PS Deduct the obligatory “empty seat” tally off that and you’ll be lucky to scrape 10,000. :woohoo:

Bit of bother went on in a st helens pub between rival fans guess who got the blame according to the North Korean chubsville forum
Had a little light shed on this today; an ex-colleague of mine, a Wigan Latics soccer fan, and a group of his friends went to St Helens on Friday (with no intention of going to the match – again, they’re not rugby fans), they went to the Sefton, mouthed off and promptly got a kicking and ejected.

For a minute there, I thought Sephton had been kicking off.
12 April 2012 at 3:56 pm #8497418115 – 5000 = 13115. Great result, but embarrasing home crowd for a game against Man Utd. What happened to those extra 3000 home fans that turned up for the games against Villa, Swansea, Stoke & WBA?
Football Town?
12 April 2012 at 5:28 pm #84995Football Town?My one and only response to this debate – If you want to see whether Wigan’s a football town or rugby town then take a walk around the playing fields on a Sunday morning and see what game is mainly being played.

You know full well what the reason is so why do you ask? I suspect it was to get a bite but no one’s bothered which makes you look rather foolish.

the thing is with Lardy he failed to mention that the away allocation as reduced to 4800 and even uniteds following was well below that which bemused me half of the away end would have a few wiganers in anyhow so double whammy for the lodgers as many of them knobheads support Yanited
13 April 2012 at 4:07 am #85062The two important stats from those games:
Wigan 36 Wakefield 6
Wigan 1 Man Utd 0

‘kin hell – this wins my award for most desperate reason to justify a shiiit crowd ever! :silly:
