I think the biggest mistake that Rosler has made, was changing the team that beat Blackpool and Birmingham. OK McCarthur had gone so it just needed one “forced” change.
Riera just seemed to be finding some form and there was some balance to the team and also ample scoring opportunities, 4 of which were nicely dispatched in the Brummy net.

He then starts to mess around with the team, formation the lot and since that Brum game, its been almost back to pre season stuff, chop, change, try this, try that.
Delort should have spent some time on the bench watching how the game is played in England, instead he’s thrown straight into the team, upsetting Riera who must have thought he’d done enough to earn a longer run in the team.

Having a big squad has both its advantages and disadvantages, players are obviously going to be left out, but will be needed when the time is right, injuries, suspensions, loss of form etc.
Burnley got promoted last year by keeping the same team and formation, it was only injuries and suspensions that forced Dyche to meddle with the team.

In my opinion, Rosler has undone all his good work from last season, it doesn’t need any rumours to convince me that the team has lost its spark. I’ve seen it for myself in the last 4 games and so has every other fan.

The good thing is, there is still plenty time to turn this thing around. I think Whelan should not knee jerk yet, yes let Rosler know that he needs to get things sorted, but give him chance to do it, with Black and Barrow’s help.

We have at least two players in every position, so no need to play Perch on the left hand side, play Waghorn on the wing or move Andy Delort to midfield in order to accommodate another forward.
This game is far more simpler that its being made to look, especially with the quality of players we have.

Rosler needs to ring fence is starting 11 and formation, stick to it and only make changes if players get suspended, injured or lose their form. Its ridiculously too early to start squad rotation, we have not played 10 bleedin league games yet.

Spot on. Rosler out, fat fella in. Football is simple made complicated by managers thinking about it too much !!

From day one I have always had my doubts about Rosler. If you shout often and loud enough eventually no one listens , like you ignore your child when they have a mad screaming tantrum. His tactics have only ever consisted of “Work your stones off and run yourself into the ground” and that’s about it.
That squad is the best in the division and yet we are still so easy to beat. It’s time for him to go , tactically he is clueless. The Ipswich game was proof of that .

Okay, so who is the right man to replace him ?[/quote]
I wouldn’t have a clue as I’m not the one with the 100@s of millions sat behind the desk doing the interviewing. I do know one thing , , we need a manager in the true sense of the word. Someone who can deal with players, someone who has good man management skills. Steve Bruce has this and you never here a bad word said about him which in turn gets the best out of players.

We already have a very good coach in Black but it seems to me Rosler doesn’t know how to keep a happy camp bit of arm round all that, he’s a shouter who demands and probably demands too much. We all have one of those at work which no one likes so it can’t much different in football.

If he is to be sacked the one person who has sorted out problems before, & could probably do it again –

          Paul jewell ;-)

I think Steve Clarke would be a good choice for us, that’s if Rosler gets the chop. I just can’t see him getting the dressing room back, once it’s gone and the divides there forget it

Now if you want to have a good read with a balanced outlook, then have a look at Neillrimmersperms’ atricle called “Rosler Out” – picked it up on Newsnow. No! this lad is not ‘doin’ my daughter nor is he related – I just found it refreshing in light of the increasing number of self-harmers appearing everywhere

He needs to get his facts right re points now and then! As for conceding goals, we have only conceded 12 in 9 games which on the whole aint that bad really! Watford and Derby have conceded only 2 less and look where they are! Others above us have conceded more! Our problem is scoring goals on a regular basis! Of course the backline could do to tighten up but the issue for me is the goals scored! If we hadn’t played a very under par Birmingham when we did we would appear to be very shy in front of goal! Not expecting too much from tonight’s game but history tells me that when I have taken that view prior to a game before I have been happily proved wrong! I will be right behind the team tonight and hope that the expected atmosphere will have the desired effect on the players, it should be good game and a point will be a start of a return to happier times!
