I haven’t got HD, but even without that, does anyone think that BBC’s pictures are miles better than ITV’s? Yes, the commentators on ITV are dismal, but to my eyes, so is the image.
Or was I just completely lathered while watching the game on Saturday night?

They’re exacty the same pictures, aren’t they? The broadcast is made by a single company (presumably South African) and then distributed to any other broadcaster that wants it. I think.

I was listening to sports live radio yesterday and in between horse races they were talking about advert gate on itv hd. Apparently with one book maker you could bet on whether a advert come on while the England v USA game was been played on itv hd. They actually took bets on it. what the size of these bets were I have no idea. I have not googled this and I was just taking the presenters word for it that this happened. They was saying they don’t think the bookies will pay out?. well why have that betting market in the 1st place as its open to abuse.
its called the “dirty feed” and the BBC of ITV or whomever can tart up the picture quality that is broadcast.
technically, its called “tartage”
I like the sound of dirty feed, however stuff like that on my telly has usually been followed by the message ‘Please Insert Your Card’ just as it gets interesting.
