Mick does seem to have the ability to suck the life and entertainment out of most things he talks about. And as a manager as well

15 June 2010 at 4:50 pm #37468this is his level and he is completely out of his depth as a commentator
http://www.boxofficefootball.com/mick-m … ets-angry/ :)edit. a commentators side kick or what ever you call them
15 June 2010 at 8:55 pm #37474More honest than the ITV ones though:
16 June 2010 at 10:10 am #37527When I’m watching the matches on both HD channels there’s a droning noise during the games. But on BBC it stops at half-time but on ITV it still continues, anyone know what it is?
16 June 2010 at 11:10 am #37528This made me laugh

I think you’re right :)
16 June 2010 at 12:35 pm #37542Doesn’t matter how good the coverage is, you can only polish a t**d so far.
Has this World Cup seen the death of wingers? They’re all doing the Bobby tactic of playing right footers on left and vice versa. Dull.

SWP will never be a footballer as long as he lives never mind winger playing on the wrong side.
17 June 2010 at 11:47 am #37677He does appear to have mastered the art of running into defenders, even at international level.
17 June 2010 at 11:18 pm #37745Can’t believe he got on the pitch ahead of Joe Cole, who actually knows how to play football

… and at the time of writing this they’re being humiliated by Mexico.
It isn’t a good world cup for wingers, unless you’re Lionel Messi, but he probably plays more central for Argentina? I haven’t seen either of their games.
18 June 2010 at 12:28 pm #37802And Ribery has had just about the worst game I’ve ever seen a professional footballer play. And I watched Wayne Entwistle for a full season.
Yes, it does annoy me as it takes all the width from the game – its mainly a defensive measure to stop teams hitting you on the break. Everyone’s doing it, so it cancels everyone out and makes the games boring.
