It amazes me that Beausojeur is good enough to play international football for Chile against England and have a good game. Yet hes is only able sit on the bench at Latics for game after game.
If my memory serves me, I am sure he was high in the list of assists in the premier league last season.
Surely he’s worth a “gamble” in the Championship.
We desperately need that creativity !!
29 November 2013 at 5:23 pm #124035Is he injured ? I saw him in his training gear walking past the back of the South stand about 1:30pm just before the Brighton game, he didn’t look too pleased. He looked like he was heading to the small private players car park.
It’s gotta be that or an appearance fee of some sort is due. Please don’t say Coyle just doesn’t fancy him. I thought he was excellent at the end of the season filling in at the left back role. Looks like Crainey is keeping him out the team.
That must feel like been done at darts by Stevie Wonder.29 November 2013 at 7:16 pm #124041Beausejour is never a left back and looks really poor when he plays there.

James McLean had his best game so far last night so he’ll probably be on the bench or the right wing on Sunday.29 November 2013 at 9:58 pm #124051Beausejour is never a left back and looks really poor when he plays there.

Disagree completely on that.He rarely takes a man on, but he links up well with players who will take a man on and he’s the best crosser of the ball in the team.
We tend to look a lot more fluid when he’s in the team and I think we’ve missed him more than people account for.
29 November 2013 at 10:03 pm #124053Saw him trying to leave the players car park around about the same time with a steward saying he couldn’t. ??
29 November 2013 at 10:08 pm #124054I heard that he has said that he wants to leave. Coyle to his credit has apparently stated that if his desire to play for Wigan isn’t there then he won’t play him.
Not sure if this is true, but if it is, we should get shut asap. Well done OC.30 November 2013 at 12:49 am #124071I heard that he has said that he wants to leave. Coyle to his credit has apparently stated that if his desire to play for Wigan isn’t there then he won’t play him.

He got 9 mins last night and has to try and make a mark.

No idea about Roger, he must have his reasons, but I for one would have expected to have seen a lot more of him seeing how many games we have had and the amount of squad rotation there has been.
30 November 2013 at 1:17 am #124079I believe it is because OC has no idea…no tactics, no plan A or plan B…travelling 360 miles round trip for a home game is wearing a little thin at the moment. Trying to batter teams for 20 mins, then attempting to defend even a 0-0 for the further 70 is wanting.
He needs to move on swiftly, for the sake of the the rest of the season.30 November 2013 at 3:16 am #124092I really don’t understand when Espinoza suddenly became a cross between Pele and Maradona?
I watched him warming up at half time yesterday. He was on the edge of the area taking potshots at an empty goal. He missed 80%. I really am not exaggerating.
How is he now world class who will get any passes on target, if he can’t put the ball where he wants it with no challenge? Maybe he does that constantly in training, which is why he doesn’t get a look in?
30 November 2013 at 3:28 am #124093Coyle has no idea how to use the assets he has.
Jean tore England apart and is out on the bench cause he’s not one of Coyles boys.
Espinoza again plays for his country and again not a Coyle player.
The new left back Garcia….fit and good enough for his country but not for wigan? And his numpty Coyle instead plays the inept McCann the one trip McLean and a slow donkey left back in Crainey.
If I was in this situation I too would want to leave.
Can anyone tell me if we have had more possession in a game than the other side?
We are no better than a hoof ball team.
Coyle out for me. He’s ruining our club and the spirit we had both on the pitch and in the stands.

Sorry for this George its not intended to ridicule you, but Roger was trying to hit the post. I saw him gesture to someone he was warming up with and he managed to hit the post about 3 or 4 times.

He’s another one who isn’t as good as everyone seems to think he is. Like McManaman, it seems that all you have to do to become a Latics Legend is string together three half-decent performances on the bounce.
Decent player Espinoza, that’s all.
