21 March 2011 at 12:44 am #62212Totally disagree.
I actually said at the end of the game that I bet Watson gets remembered for the 2 s**te corners he did in the last few minutes. Before that he was outstanding.
During the week Bob had said that it takes more bottle to be constantly asking for the ball than it does flying into loads of 50-50 tackles. Watson was making himself available and asking for the ball throughout yesterday’s game.
I bet some of our “fans ” didn’t even know who played the pass to Boyce that led to the first goal.
21 March 2011 at 1:31 am #62216I think Watson’s open play was really good yesterday. As you say he’s always showing for the ball and puts in a shift.
But, for the love of God, stop him taking set plays. It wasn’t just the two shockers in the last ten minutes.
21 March 2011 at 1:46 am #62219Thought Ben played well, seemed very willing and was always in space, the pass for boycey got us on the way for all 3 points.
21 March 2011 at 2:22 am #62222Apparently the stats show that yesterday Ben Watson misplaced three times more passes than any of his team-mates.
The stats also show that Ben Watson attempted three times more passes than any of his team-mates.
21 March 2011 at 2:27 am #62224The stats alos show that we got fck all from any of his corners and free kicks.
And why does N’Zogbia always go and stand next to him when we only ever play 1 in 10 short?
Yesterday was a great performance (apart from the first 25 minutes) and a great result, but these set pieces are doing my head in.

The stats also show that we get fck all from corners and free kickes when Ben Watson doesn’t take them.
I bet Gomez is relieved at losing his “I’m the whipping boy” tag.

He ain’t no whipping boy for me. Already stated I think he’s a good ‘un, just not at set plays.
He’ll now bang in a winning free kick in our next game, or stick a corner right on someone’s head for a goal!
21 March 2011 at 3:38 am #62234He is on the whole s h i t at corners though !!
21 March 2011 at 8:26 pm #62258Should have had Cleverley taking the corners from the start, though Watson’s good at free-kicks and penalty’s.
21 March 2011 at 9:40 pm #62266Get silver fox to give him coaching lessons ala Rioch
and for all you JCLs that is Bruce Rioch, he used to be our manager pre EPL
:happy-partydance:

:happy-partydance:
Its a good job there are JCL’s really, otherwise our average gate would be about 10,000 !!
22 March 2011 at 3:26 am #62290More like 1500. :scared-shocked: :scared-eek: :angry-chillpill: :confusion-seeingstars:
          :scared-shocked: :teasing-lurk: :romance-kisslips: :crying-yellow:
22 March 2011 at 10:59 pm #62325Championship was technically ” Pre EPL ” Our average in the Championship was around the 10,000 mark. Can I then assume that a JCL is a fan that jumped on the bandwagon after 1982 ?
