11 September 2010 at 10:21 am #46032No really, every week we have someone to drive us to the match. We watch Latics in style
11 September 2010 at 2:48 pm #46047Not on “the board ” but as you know i like to push any pub/club that helps and supports its paying customers .
My regards to Myra and Jim ( the guy who claims to have done ME a favour for letting me and 50 drinkers in pre west ham trip to drink 300 pints !!! )13 September 2010 at 1:54 pm #46184Gekko, while we were in Smilers on Saturday lunch time for our brief visit there was a lad in there who has something to do with Asthon Town. He said he was drinking in Smilers because the ale was better than at Ashton Town. Me and AC took one sip of Myra’s ale and thought, “Jeez, how bad must it be down there then???”
There were 3 of us in there. We called in for a quick one on the way home too, by which time it was positively rocking – Clive and his lad were in, making a grand total of 4 punters. :)

13 September 2010 at 2:56 pm #46190Brocket Arms?Brocket? Yeah goos real ales and very very reasonable prices. Food isn’t too bad either (apart from the currys, which, being a big fan and regular eater of currys, know that the ones there are no good) .. But the Burgers are good :D …
How would you know how good it is Donelly I thought you were too young?
13 September 2010 at 8:42 pm #46230They sell Staropramen in the Tudor.
John Bull and the Boulevard are my favourite places, but I’m liking the Oak on Wigan Lane of late. They do Black Sheep ale; best pint bar none.
Brocket tonight, for the quiz, and to chat up some slags.

What age slags are you talking about? .. Never see any good enough looking people in there to chat up when I go to the quiz :) .. Sometimes there are some my age (20ish) .. That is about it.
Have to agree with Boulevard.. In there very very regularly.
14 September 2010 at 1:30 am #46326The hare and hounds in Hindley, not only is it a quality real ale pub (Allgates and guest ales) but it’s also a Latics pub with signed shirts and pics of Springfield Park on the walls.
