Wonder how things would go if I didn’t pay my taxes and just kept saying “you’ll get it next week”
20 March 2019 at 5:06 pm #177483Surely after this fit and proper checks must be carried out on all prospective owners not just foreign. Bolton have gone from one bad owner to another. Look how long it took our takeover to go through .
20 March 2019 at 5:20 pm #177484This is potentially worse for Bolton, they can’t now have points deducted this season for administration, so if they go into it after the April date their deduction would be next season meaning they start in league 1 on minus 25, assuming they go down of course
20 March 2019 at 10:17 pm #177489Bolton say they have a buyer well they would wouldn’t they because the alternative was administration.
Bought a bit of time not much and its payday again soon pleased they have to finish the season but they may not be involved next season.21 March 2019 at 12:36 am #177490As much as I despise every single one of their odious missile throwing bullies that call themselves supporters I hope they get sorted out and survive.
The behaviour of some of their number on Saturday was attrocious and some of the worst crowd trouble I have seen at our stadium for many a year.
If it was only them that supported this club I’d be clapping my hands in glee at the turmoil they are in.
However as football supporter myself with a sense of fair play I cannot find any other emotion other than pity at the moment for the very large number of decent supporters that follow this football club and deserve better.
All rivalry is cast aside with them in mind.21 March 2019 at 1:28 am #177491Thats a very fair post vince and one I totally agree with. I actually work in Bolton so I suppose I have a vested interest but most Bolton fans I come into contact with are just normal down to earth football fans. And they’ve never heard of rugby.
And they have some amazing pie shops!
21 March 2019 at 1:59 am #177492I agree as well, can’t have a local rivalry without a local rival. Lose them and u lose the wanky chant!
21 March 2019 at 2:01 am #177493I understand what you mean but a spell ground sharing at FC United in the lower end of non leagues pyramid would do them no harm whatsoever and would help knock the billy big bollox attitude out of some of their fans and still give their true supporters a club to support.
FC Wanderers of Manchester has a nice ring to it.21 March 2019 at 2:06 am #177494Thats a very fair post vince and one I totally agree with. There was one bit of Bolton thuggery I quite enjoyed. As I walked under the railway bridge, 1 68 yr old codger, in the safety of a protective group of 3 other similar aged friends suddenly randomly said to me ‘wanker’. All I was doing was walking on the pavement. I didn’t have my docs on, my head shaved to a No1, my braces off my shoulders or my knuckle duster in my pocket. Usually I do, but for fear of Bolton’s worst I didn’t. Following this 1 word erudite comment I simply said, in my best white middle class, boarding school accent, ‘pardon’. To which he replied, after thinking his response with care: ‘wanker’. ‘Ah thank you, that was astute, I assume you were up all night thinking that through’. Slightly stumped he continued the conversation by saying ‘Wigan; shit’.
And that was our conversation over. He turned and walked away with a look of smugness and delight that he’d got his message across.
After that it seemed to go downhill; I’m guessing he was the catalyst.
Clearly I was lucky!

21 March 2019 at 2:12 am #177496You’ve been spoilt by the sparking conversation in Reading gg, I take it didn’t have a drink with them!
21 March 2019 at 2:15 am #177497No, I remembered my mandatory training from my Mum; don’t mix with strangers, let alone strange strangers!!
2 April 2019 at 7:06 pm #177814Ooops can’t even get a safety certificate at the moment.
2 April 2019 at 10:20 pm #177816They will come out of this smelling of roses just watch.
2 April 2019 at 10:45 pm #177817Administration tomorrow so they can fulfill their remaining fixtures then if they don’t complete a takeover settling debt then liquidation.
I only sympathise for the true loyal Bolton fans.
