The booing of Max Power when he came on was nothing short of disgraceful. If YOU are one of the guilty ones, you need to take a good hard look at yourself.
The player was badly advised in the summer, Paul Cook handled the situation sensibly. The player went nowhere in the transfer window, and Power sacked his agent/adviser and was restored to the first team squad with a line drawn under the situation.
So the absolute bellends who booed him….feck off and don’t bother coming if your going to carry on with that rubhish. The issue is gone..sorted.
So bloody well get over it!
16 September 2017 at 9:36 pm #161952Anyone booing their team for any reason (assuming they’re over 12 years old) needs to be embarrassed.
Personally I’d have been happy for Power to have got his move because although he’s genuinely a 100% player, I don’t think he’s especially good, that said I’d never boo a Wigan player.16 September 2017 at 9:53 pm #161954The only difference between Power and Emyr Huws was Huws was good enough to get another club. I believe Huws was given the boo treatment by nearly all the Latics fans.
I’m never going to boo but I am not very pleased with the fact that Power wanted to turn his back on our club, agents advice or no agents advice in the end it’s he’s decision. I totally agree that Power is not good enough at the moment to get into the starting 11.
By the way Dave, booing a player or threatening to turn your back on the entire team by throwing your season ticket away? I’d keep my gob shut if I was you pal. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!16 September 2017 at 10:25 pm #161956The only difference between Power and Emyr Huws was Huws was good enough to get another club. I believe Huws was given the boo treatment by nearly all the Latics fans.

You don’t know me from Adam, ‘pal’. Don’t pretend you do. You are a 60 ish year old bloke who acts like a child…spouting shit about me on here and giving it the big one. Are you one of the sad wankers booing him today then?
And yes, had we brought Caldwell back, I wouldn’t have renewed. A lot of people wouldn’t. Because he’s shit.
Oh and mods, John instigated that with his attack on me. I’m not having it.
16 September 2017 at 10:28 pm #161957So Wiganers begrudge a young lad having ambition?
Piss off.
There’s no way young max power grew up with dreams of playing for Wigan. Not a chance. A few people need to realise that NONE of our players ever dreamed of playing for Wigan Athletic. They aren’t like the fans, it’s a job. If you work in McDonald’s and Burger King offered you twice as much money to go and flip burgers for them instead, you would go.
I can’t believe the mentality. Stop being biased and get real.
16 September 2017 at 10:47 pm #161958He got booed at Charlton apparently and the booing today was loud…. shameful, couldn’t believe it myself.
If you’re a true Wigan fan that wants the best for this team you’d never do it as it could unsteady team spirit..16 September 2017 at 11:05 pm #161959I was really surprised at the booing, disappointed as well, from all accounts he has got on with training and not sulked. I reckon it affected him as well, he backed out of a clear shooting op that he would normally have had a dig. Shouldn’t be booing him. As for today I thought we were far superior, but got really complacent which almost ended up biting us on the backside.
16 September 2017 at 11:08 pm #161960Totally agree VAT, anyone on here boo Max today? Then you are a fuckin tosser!
The lad has served his time get off his back you clueless t***s!
Fuck the EFL
16 September 2017 at 11:10 pm #161961Will the boo boys air their voices if Max scores the goal that wins promotion I don’t think so. In todays lunatic world of the modern player and diseased agents did the lad do much wrong?. Ill advised and pushed into a situation he believed to be right for himself. The fact that nobody came in for him shows how badly he was represented.
16 September 2017 at 11:30 pm #161962I have to admit I didn’t cheer him on, but I definitely didn’t and wouldn’t boo him.
He is still our player and if he knuckles down and puts the effort in I’m sure he will win the boo boys over.16 September 2017 at 11:35 pm #161963The booing could have been prevented if the fans had been updated on the situation with Power. What you have said Vat is new to me. I had no idea any of the problem was from third party advice. Likewise I had no idea that a line had been drawn under the events. I just thought he was just back in the squad with us being short of first choice players.
Like I said a big headline in the press saying Power had kissed and made up and sacked his agent and this situation could have been avoided.16 September 2017 at 11:43 pm #161964The only difference between Power and Emyr Huws was Huws was good enough to get another club. Don’t think we will Vat.
Well, if it transpires that we have something of a ‘fire sale’ on the eve of the season, or at the transfer deadline and end up losing the likes of Grigg, Powell, Burn, Morsy, I am deadly serious that I will be down to that ticket office demanding a refund on the season tickets we have bought in good faith, based on the squad we have. Sounds dramatic? [/quote]
He has a point

Like I said a big headline in the press saying Power had kissed and made up and sacked his agent and this situation could have been avoided.“Both chairman David Sharpe and manager Paul Cook have suggested the fault for the request to speak to any interested Championship clubs lay with the player’s agent rather than Power himself.”
17 September 2017 at 12:53 am #161972Didn’t boo. Didn’t clap.
