out the bed this mornin far too early and switched on the sat channels amd was met with the usual cr’p excercise bikes and repeats etc.
Then i came across the 80’s sitcom Bread(boy did i hate this at the time) and what a load of angst written b@l@’x this was eh?
I watched it for a bit and was amazed at how the writers portrayed this horrible workshy family as some sort of heroic bunch beating the system.
The whole family is irritating beyond belief(especially that f@ ckin mother)-supposed to be set in Liverpool two of the family speak with a mancunian twang and the rest broad scouse??????
no way do i weep at the demise of sit coms when you watch this peurile rubbish!

Terry and June was the worst ever couldnt f@@@in stand it .
Stereotypes aglore with typical middle class situations involving Terrys boss DH(did it stand for D/ckhead?)and the local vicar etc.
Also Last of the summer wine was bloody awful also with weekly stories about that scruffy one going down hills in bath tubs.

I blame the left wing pinkos of the fifties and sixties for the parents we have of today….

Captain Pugwash…….a subtle cartoon for the younger generation had characters such as…

              Roger…the cabin boy
              Seaman Staines
              Master…bates

No wonder this generation is mixed up………………….

The Captain Pugwash “characters” were an urban legend for which a couple of newspapers were successfully sued for in the early 90s.

There was a Tom The Cabin Boy and Master Mate but none of the afore mentioned double entendres.
