Talking of reggae, try saying the following three words in sequence without sounding Jamaican:-
Beer Can Sandwich
Not Jamaica, but West Indies anyway…
On holiday in Barbados a few years ago, in St Lawrence Gap, and on the way out of the hotel on the first night ask the grey haired security guard the way to the bars. He duly obliges, then asks where I’m from.
‘Wigan’, I reply.
‘P!ss off! Seriously? Do you know Spring View? I played at Spring View cricket club for five years. I loved Wigan. Is the King of Clubs still open?’
As an explanation of how he sounded, try saying ‘Beer can butty’
hey mon all this talk of red or brown all di while .you forgot to big up reggae reggae sauce coo yah. brown and red is gud but ya kyaan dis reggae reggae on eggs and beercanAs I was reading through this I was waiting to see a Raggae raggae post and all hail BOB! .. This sauce is amazing, not quite hot enough but very very nice! Also whoever said brown on a meat n prater needs to wake up and smell the semen!!! Red all over it but I don’t really like pies, red just covers it nicely :)
FACT: Lea and perrins is the BEST on cheese on toast and in fact anything that it goes with inc. beans :)
