He has a similar turning circle to HMS Ark Royal nowadays.
Plenty of players knocking about that are cheaper and better. Matt Kilgannon is one.
Whelan should take a long hard look at Notts County and see that with a bit of ambition you can attract people who dont really belong at a club so low down. If they actually do what Whelan did and take them all the way to the top in 10 years is another thing, but then Al Fayeed did it alot quicker than him.
If Whelan was setting out now would he have done the same?

I’m sorry but Sulzeer no longer cuts the Prem mustard. There were times last season when he was horribly exposed.
The fact that he’s gone to Notts County , when a couple of Prem teams were rumoured to be in for him , suggests that Campbell knows that himself.

He will do an excellent job in that league, but will struggle if they do get future promotions as he is getting on a bit now.
not a chance hes just not up to speed at the highest level anymore, if he was then teams would have been sniffing round and he wouldnt have gone to notts county.
