I thought I wasn’t bothered about who won this, but after hearing all those arrogant Welsh prats being interviewed whilst boarding their coach this morning on Sky, come on Bradford get a grip.
Please rub their noses in their words – We will win 3-0, can’t wait for our European tour next year, we are going to walk it etc, horrible arrogance.

Rather irritating delusional club if you ask me with their pretentious gold braided kit however to win a major trophy after only two seasons and qualify for Europe is respect worthy isn’t it?
Bradford playing like frightened rabbits and the c,ass difference has told today.
It wast hilarious to watch those players , fighting like seven year olds over that penalty-infantile!Could be tough next season though with billy big time players and a euro campaign to juggle and I can see a much tougher season if you ask me.
Let’s see if they can do eight seasons -I doubt it!25 February 2013 at 12:14 am #103969Absolutely pathetic decision.Sending a league 2 player off in a major final when 3-0 down is a disgrace. Whatever happened to common sense?
25 February 2013 at 1:05 am #103973Well, To be honest, It was because it WAS a sending off offence. I said it as soon as it happened as im sure many people did. Can i ask as to why it made a difference what league they are from?
Don’t really understand that bit.
When we get tonked off Man Utd every year and we usually have penalty shouts e.t.c e.t.c, Why do people never say, “Well its only Wigan, Why not let them have a penalty because we will beat them anyway”?
25 February 2013 at 2:08 pm #104003Felt sorry for Bradford. They didn’t deserve their superb run to end like that especially the keeper who really was the hero of the run.
25 February 2013 at 3:20 pm #104010Happy to be there syndrome ! Remember Cardiff !
25 February 2013 at 5:58 pm #104015Absolutely pathetic decision.Sending a league 2 player off in a major final when 3-0 down is a disgrace. Whatever happened to common sense? There are some incidents during a game where a ref can apply common sense & not strictly apply the letter of the law. There are other instances where they can’t. This fell into the 2nd category.
It was as obvious an example of denying a goal scoring opportunity as you are likely to see. Imagine if the ref had thought “aww it’s 3-0 & he’s played really well to help get em here. I won’t send him off”. Then Matt Duke goes on to save the penalty, it inspires a Bradford fight back & they clawback the game
Not sure that the ref would have been able to sell the “it just felt a bit tight to send him off” argument to Michael Laudrup25 February 2013 at 7:06 pm #104024Tough call for the ref – do you follow the letter of the law or do you appeal to the sense of occasion and sportsmanship. Don’t think he had much choice to be honest, though I think Laudrup out of anyone would have been sportsmanlike about it.
Have to say I was rooting for Bradford (who apart from Swansea fans weren’t?), although my allegiance changed at 3-0 when all wanted was for them to take our unenviable place as the heaviest losers in a league cup final :P
25 February 2013 at 8:53 pm #104030A team finally put some effort in, and Bradford got tonked.. Like they would have against Us, Arsenal AND Villa had they tried and put some effort and enthusiasm in.
25 February 2013 at 11:20 pm #104034A team finally put some effort in, and Bradford got tonked.. Like they would have against Us, Arsenal AND Villa had they tried and put some effort and enthusiasm in.They got pasted in all 4 games. I think it was more luck running out than anything else.
26 February 2013 at 12:15 am #104039Two clubs showing how quickly fortunes in football can change!
In 2002-2003, as Wigan continued their rise by winning League Two, Swansea were fighting for their Football League lives in League Three. A 4-2 win against Hull on the final day of the season preserved their status and Swansea then followed Wigan up the league and into the Premier League. They could claim to have overtaken Wigan now.
Three players – Leon Britton, Alan Tate and club captain Garry Monk – remain from their fourth-tier days. ‘We talk a lot about that Hull game, even now, because 10 years on we realise just how important it was,’ said Britton. ‘I dread to think what would have become of the club had we lost that day.
Bradford City have gone the other way. They played in the Premier League for two seasons, in 1999-2000 and 2000-2001. But since then, their path has been downhill – they are now in League Two. However, they were able to battle their way to the League Cup Final, beating Wigan, Arsenal and Aston Villa on the way.
26 February 2013 at 12:52 am #104042Absolutely pathetic decision.Sending a league 2 player off in a major final when 3-0 down is a disgrace. Whatever happened to common sense?I afraid Argus the ref was right to send him off.Everone screams at refs for inconsistency well you cant be lenient just coz they are a lower league team.Had he let it go then his accessor would have marked him down in all probability.Damned if he did damned if he didnt so whilst it may have felt a little unsavory the ref really didnt have much choice in my opinion.
26 February 2013 at 1:47 am #1040432 years in the prem and a league cup win against a tinpot side is hardly overtaking us. 8 years at the top and we also got to the final. Problem is we played Man Utd not bloody Bradford City.
26 February 2013 at 2:49 pm #104053After only 2 seasons Swansea are playing great football & actually holding there own in the perm & in Huw Jenkins they have a chairman with a bit of nous & vision,as for us we seem to be stagnating as a club and going backwards, one win in umpteen games against a very poor reading side and some people seem to think we are world beaters.
