I got talking with a few lads Saturday out Pearce and one said the rumour is LR thinks Pearce leaves us too exposed at the back.
But what kills me is, LR’s more than happy to put McClean back there who’s never a left back in the memory of man.
I’d play him with McClean overlapping and feed of his experience then when McCleans legs go in a game Pearce can move in front of him.Without service from wide positions the likes of McGennis and Wyke will struggle to get into double figures
I think all three , Bennett, Pearce and McLean leave us vulnerable defensively. I was surprised we didn’t recruit a left back in the summer as it was one of our weaknesses last season too.

What’s the latest with Danny Rose?
Regarding Pearce, there’s one thing he can do and he does very well is hit a cross early and at pace. LR simply doesn’t fancy him and will p1ss around using everyone else bar Pearce.
As someone mentioned earlier, if your face doesn’t fit that’s it. LR chops and changes weekly based on the oppositions line up. What we need is a settled side and concentrate on us not them and fookin stop over thinking it.
Broadhead for me is they key, he needs to start every game. There’s goals in him for sure but does his face fit along with Scully and Pearce ?

Spot on…..I think we can do much better….he just need to stop changing his 11 and over analysing the opposition.
What’s wrong with Pearce and McClean overlapping helping each other out ? midfield cutting across you know the old thing all helping each other out.
Why TF should a ball go over or down say the left be the sole job of the left back ? everyone mucks in and cover.
Fook me I remember Boycie bombing forward later in his career but someone would always drop into the space he left simply because at times he couldn’t get back.If LR thinks our left back should tackle defend and get back then leg it upfield and put a worldy cross in for 90 minutes he needs his head wobbling.

If we had a player who could do that he wouldn’t be with us long, he’d be sold in Jan for about £10million
