At this stage I would have preferred Birmingham or West Ham at home giving us a good chance of a 2 leg semi with whoever ! If we beat Arsenal I will be surprised but also ecstatic ! We certainly wont be the bookies fav to progress !
Good God – talk about doom and gloom. If we’re going to win the thing we’re going to have to play, and beat, the likes of Arsenal and United.
Have some faith.
I’m really trying to be as optimistic as you, but…….
I suppose you ‘never know’. We’ll either pull off a shock, or get done 3 or 4 nil. If I were Roberto, I’d consider a few mind games. Pre-match talk of ‘good opportunities to give squad players a game’ and then on the night of the match, put the strongest team possible out.
Suppose the cup run was nice whilst it lasted.[/quote]
Didn’t we beat Arsenal on our way to the last final we reached?
Dont recall beating them at their place. In fact as I remember it we got beaten on the night.
lets be honest a team that scores 7 goals in two games against 2 prem teams, newcastle and man city,we only score 2 goals in 2 games must be a worry for the spanish one, lets be real.
