Is that also why Phil Neville used to always get the better of Patrick Vieira years back? That is a crap way of trying to justify it. Phil Neville used to also play Vieira out of the game Man U Vs Arsenal, it doesn’t mean Neville was better than Vieira, I’m sure even the most hard core Man U fans would have prefered to have Vieira at their club at the time rather than Neville.

The thing is that its not Diame who has been playing the Cattermole role up until the last game or so.
It was Thomas & given the choice between Cattermole & Thomas I’d have Cattermole every day of the week. Asides from the fact that he’s a far better player, Thomas is just as much (if not more) of a liability when it comes to suspensions

In an earlier posts someone mentioned Valencia and Rodalegga coming in for abuse once they left/leave us.

Well, I was never a great fan of Valencia, but he does seem to be doing a good job at Man Utd.
I reckon its more to do with the fact he is surrounded by world class players than him having improved much.
I slagged him off to high heaven when he was here, as he was far too inconsistent, and appeared scared to death to take people on.
In my view, N’Zogbia is far superior to him, and has become a fans favourite. Far more attack minded, scores more goals, and looks dangerous every time he gets the ball.

Rodalegga is fast proving to us that he isn’t good enough to test most of the Premier League defences. It is probably more to do with where he his played than is own ability or lack of it.

He is a trier, and looks dangerous at times, but needs to be used as a forward alongside a target man and not as a winger. if Bob were to do this, we may see a different player. At the moment though its like playing with 10 men. Or 9 if Gomez is on.
