If anyone does bother to go we are running coaches as we did for the semi final and final, the difference being it looks like the hire cost will be cheaper than the inflated prices for the FA Cup games, intitial inquiries suggest the maximum cost per seat will be £27.50, and with a little luck and the right numbers booking, even a little less.
As we did for the previous trips there will be a pre-booked stop for a meal, this time breakfast, again the trip will be used to raise money for the Joseph’s Goal Charity hoping to add to the near £2000 raised by generous Wiganers on those trips.
The coaches will be again family groups, no alcohol format.
Please PM me for further details.
Do I get mates rates?[/quote]
Do you have any mates ?
20 June 2013 at 12:12 am #116617I’m going – £20 ticket, £50 train. Getting a bit bored of it now though, glad the Europa League final is at a different stadium.
20 June 2013 at 12:47 am #116620I will be there yes. It’s yet another historic occasion for our club. The Charity Shield is a game of football that is basically reserved for the 2 elite clubs in England. A. The Premier League Champions and B. The FA Cup Champions.
Just to be a part of this match no matter what the circumstances of the game itself is an honour for our club.
A 3rd visit to Wembley from as low as £25 a ticket with return train tickets around £20-£30 is very affordable.
Another addition to our trophy cabinet? Let’s hope so.
Links for £20-£30 return train tickets please !

23 June 2013 at 4:38 pm #116783Booked hotel a few weeks ago.
Renewed ST this morning. System wouldnt let me buy CS tickets immediately, but was ok an hour later. Block 103 row 22…so far enough back
ifwhen it rains :ohmy:Would have done the ST earlier but only got back off hols yesterday and only found out last night the CS ticket arrangements.
Silly not to go really (finances permitting) dont see us playing at Wembley anytime soon again, as we’ll finish 1st or 2nd in table so no play off final :woohoo:
23 June 2013 at 4:47 pm #116784Two lots of car insurance due at the end of this month.Off on hols on the 3rd.
We won’t even be getting renewal season tickets until mid July at the earliest.
Haven’t decided if we’re going to Wembley or not yet.
23 June 2013 at 7:13 pm #116787Season ticket being renewed this week, CS ticket to follow when I know a bit more about which of our lot are going.
Some of our lot are season ticket holders and some aren’t but we will all want to be sat together so there are a few arrangements to be made first. -
