Just to say as well I was on a Chorley game on Bonfire Night against Matlock Town & Chorley were by far & away the best side I’ve seen at that level including Chester when they were battering everyone a few years back
Whichever Flitcroft brother it is who is in charge there has them playing some really decent football
Unfortunately for them FC United are on a real roll & I think may pip them to promotion. If they do though they should be safe in the play offs
I think they play each other on Tuesday night at Gigg Lane & whoever wins that will win the title I think6 April 2014 at 10:42 pm #129489Been there a few times, but usually go to Ashton Town, Ashton Athletic, St Helens Town (at Ashton) or Robin Park, but they were all away.
There’s also Prescot (Prescot Cables and AFC Liverpool), Skem, Warrington and Burscough. Loads of options.
Are Chorley not currently the highest ranked out of your aforementioned and top of their division ?
Ah, then he would be accused of glory hunting.
But that is how teams attract new fans or neutrals ! I am pretty sure that Chorley will be getting more on at home games now than if they were say mid table !
How many of the 849 at the game yesterday do you think were glory hunters?
And how many stayed right until the end and how many knobbed off with about ten minutes to go?

Not many I suspect. It’s a nightmare getting away from Duke Street at the moment…!

On the thread subject, you appear to have omitted my factual reply regarding average attendances at Chorley ! Totally off subject, try and concentrate on what is happening on the pitch Griff rather than getting yourself all worked up by what other fans are doing ! :S

Not remotely worked up, I just have a low tolerance for certain classes of people. Besides which, I am very adept at multi-tasking so, if I chose to, I could quite easily concentrate on both the match and getting “worked up” at other fans simultaneously.

What class are people who leave a football match early?
