How is it that last season Cowie was in the Premier league yet like many others who arrived he turns to ‘Dogshite’?
What have we been doing players?
Maybe with all these players leaving what is left may shine.

So that makes every player who’s played or playing the in Prem a better player than the rest of the League ?,
Cowie is just another steady eddy, does a job, no more no less, experience counts for nothing right now we need players to give 100% effort for 90mins unlike 60minute Macca.

What we need right now is a few more players like McClean willing to bang a shift in rather than thinking let him do the donkey work I’ll do just enough. Hounding and chasing lost causes and grinding out results. I saw Sheff Utd give a young 18 yr old lad a chance against Spurs in the Semi and nearly got them to a Cup Final. It’s about time some of the young lads were given 10-15mins here and there, it can’t get any worse, but more importantly,

STOP GIVING DAFT GOALS AWAY !!!!.

Oh and if we do go down ?

Boycey for Player manager, you know it makes sense

This clear out is one thing but to dress it up as being only about people who want to play for the club still being here insults my intelligence but looks like most have you have bought into it.

Some achievement in itself.

I wish I was the only clever enough to see what’s really going on at the club. Go you!
they’re taking the piss saying we’re left with those who want to play for the club. Anyone belieiving that should be sectioned, those same people are still backing a manager with 1 win, no tactics and no clue.

We’ve sold our best players, were left with shite we couldn’t sell on cash in the attic bar 2 or 3
So Tez, would you prefer us to go down the QPR route? spend money we don’t have break the leagues FFP rules. As for the players who have departed has it occurred to you that those signed by Rosler may have spat the dummy coz he has gone and who may be showing Malky total petulance and disrespect for the club?. Is it not too much of a coincidence that most of Rosler,s summer signings have not lasted 2 minutes?. I’m behind the gaffer on this one If you don’t want to be a Wigan player then fook off quickly now. Macca, Maloney and Watson will obviously think they are above Div 1 so would have gone no matter we tried. Where we could learn a lesson maybe is not to have so many players out of contract at the same time. Why not give Malky the chance to sort this mess out which in reality is not his fault. We are in a healthy position off the field even if we are in dire straits off it but if you was around in the early Nineties when the buckets and blankets were going round then you will understand why Mr Whelan is rightly steering the good ship Latics in it’s present course. It has been said before on here that we don’t see what Malky does on the training ground and it may be the case that he feels these players need to leave the club in order for us to progress. Time will tell Tez and if he fails after the clearout I am sure the board will act accordingly.
No you are completely missing the point.

We are being told what we will be left with is who we need here. 100% up for the cause.

I say bollocks, what we have left here has little or no value.

If somebody can tell me who these players are, bar McClean and Waghorn, maybe McCann. who will suddenly develop all the attributes we need then I’m all ears.

To blindly just toe the club line and say, “well they must be right that we had to sell all of these players because none of them wanted to play for us” is nonsense.

Maybe we are better off selling these lads from a financial point of view with the definite prospect of relegation. My point is we could get out of this with the decent players we have, in fairness to them, I thought we were coming to a bit but if we couldn’t do it with the lads who have gone. What chance now?

I’m not after bankrupting the club, just trying to stay in this division with the best of what we had, not the shite that we’re left with and what we appear to be bringing in.

We are bringing players in though. Players that want to play for us.

Yes I would much rather have Shaun Maloney and Callum McManaman here with their talents. The problem being that we aren’t seeing those talents because they don’t give a toss. We could keep them here if we so wanted but it would do us no good whatsoever.

We also have to let players go as we have a massive squad at the minute with some players who wouldn’t get a game if we put our third team out. They will go with no replacements being brought in.

None of us are happy at this situation and none of us will be happy if we go down, but it really isn’t as straightforward as keeping him, him and him and replacing the manager every three weeks.

How many including recent departures would you say are nailed on has regular starters for the first xi judged on performances this season

McClean

Perch

McCann

Carson

Kvist (and he’s only played last couple of weeks )

Exactly. TBH I would pick Ali above Carson. I think Carson has played well and saved us plenty of times, but I’m more confident with Ali between the posts.

McClean and Perch will clean up at the awards dinner though at the minute.

Carson’s confidence is low at the moment and some of his decisions have been questionable! He was all over the place against Huddersfield!

His kicking is woeful. I don’t know why our forwards bother standing in the middle of the pitch, they may as well stand on the touchline as that’s where it tends to go.

The fact is, there’s your list, missing Waghorn and Boyce and I too would put Ali in the team of 100%ers over Carson.

However, I’ve never been a believer in the players aren’t trying, I feel they’ve been trapped in a very unfortunate, poisonous, set of circumstances.

So talent and 100% team for me:

Ali
Boyce
Perch
Kvist
McCann
McClean
Huws
Waghorn
Delort

Struggling after that but to make a team up add the potential new lads who you would hope would be eager to please, inc Ridgewell for 3 more weeks. Maybe give Rogne another try out, is he that bad these days?

McKay hasn’t become a bad manager or motivator overnight. If players don’t like him or don’t want to play for him or our club then the decisions that have been made are correct.
Lets face it, we are eight points from safety so the players that have been sold/moved on were obviously not up to the job.
I’m not going to start slagging them off and saying they are crap players, but you have to question their attitude and commitment to our club.
With the best will in the world a top class PL manager would struggle to get so many players who don’t want to play for you to perform. One bad egg is hard enough to manage, but when there are so many it’s impossible.
I reckon what has gone on this last week or so will benefit us on and off the pitch in the long run.
Fuck to the ‘believe’ shite of the past and just keep the faith. The good times will be back, it just may take longer than first thought.
