20 February 2018 at 9:36 pm #166715I think there should be a fine, it was unacceptable, and if I was the club I would identify who went on and try to work a way to pass the fine on to them.
Big celebration overshadowed.
I disagree about segregation, we have perfect segregation, i.e. a separate stand.I mean the gap in the corner. Maybe just needs more presence.
20 February 2018 at 9:37 pm #166716All valid points, but don’t be pissed off, it’ll spoil the wonderful and brilliant memories of a generally positive night. For me the ‘good’ far out weighs the last 5 –
10 minutes. Being pissed off is just wrecking it for your self.Aguero incident – he knows the vulnerable position he is in, or at least he should do; he should have scarpered off the pitch at great speed, like many of the other players. In some positions of society the reality is that you will get provoked, and it is that persons job not to rise to that provocation. Blimey – imagine the fights there would be if the police reacted every time they were provoked. What do refs get every match ….. 10 000 people shouting at them ‘you fat bastard’, ‘you’re not fit to referee’, ‘you don’t know what you’re doing’, ‘wanker’ and more and worse.

Just annoys me that so many hangers on jumped on the bandwagon and the result is this fall out today. It was all easily avoided. There are plenty of pics and footage, club should aim to name, shame, and prosecute. Selfish, selfish people who were only bothered about getting attention themselves. Don’t give a monkey’s about the club.

20 February 2018 at 9:52 pm #166722You have to say at least the West Ham fans have a sense of humour and give credit when it’s due. City fans attitudes have come full circle from when they where struggling.

20 February 2018 at 10:13 pm #166725The arrogance and huge chip some of the Citeh fans have these days is unbelievable and that chip took a huge knock when their super team of multi millionaires got brought to earth by a third tier club. This was the biggest reason for their yobish behavioour and nothing else.
True a few Latics fans broke away from the celebrations on the pitch to goad the Citeh fans which I do not like but the reaction from the arrogant Citeh strutters was over the top and out of order. There were two or three groups of their idiots who piled down to the pitch hurling bottles signage and attacking the stewards and police. This isn’t a reaction caused by a few fans from little Wigan waving at them.
City themselves should be looking into who they sell tickets to because many of those were not the type of Citeh fans I remember from Wembley. More akin to the horrible gets who goaded and intimidated Wigan fans at Maine Road in the playoffs.
Totally agree the stewarding and policing was absolutely hopeless.20 February 2018 at 11:55 pm #166732The arrogance and huge chip some of the Citeh fans have these days is unbelievable and that chip took a huge knock when their super team of multi millionaires got brought to earth by a third tier club. Just can’t take it. So cocky. Ian Cheeseman, cities reporter, put a video in YouTube and was asking them before game on predictions. All cocky, 5 nil, 6 nil, and so on.
After the game, all moaning about our stewarding etc. I’ve always been a bit indifference to city… Hated them in 99, mind. But theyve gone into a bunch of tossers. And to hear them, theyve all been going years….
Course they have.
21 February 2018 at 12:32 am #166737I watched that vat. Quality.
Most City fans have been going years tbf.

Are you joking? Or being serious? Until about 5 years ago, you barely saw a City top around Wigan. Now all the young kids are there with City kits on.
It was as recently as the 90s that City struggled to get 30,000 on. To hear it now, they act like they’ve always been big. The truth is, in the 30s, they were the big club in Manchester. United overtook them in 1956 to 1969. As United declined post Busby in 69 to 74, City became the top side again. City won the league cup in 76, United the fa cup in 77. Then both were a bit mediocre for a few years, as Merseyside dominated. As fergie arrived at United in 86, City were a 2nd division yoyo club. By about 88, United were the leading club in the City again, though had been commercially for years. Remember, in 98 City were relegated to the third tier and were promoted to what’s now the Championship in 99, the year United won the treble. If you think about it, the sheik only arrived in about 2011 or 2012, and since then, so many have jumped on the bandwagon.
It’s easy to choose to support a club with an open cheque book.
21 February 2018 at 2:06 am #166748They got 28k in division 2 some 20 years ago. Obviously plenty have jumped on the bandwagon but plenty were there “when they were shit”
21 February 2018 at 3:02 am #166753When you look at this, look at the leap in attendances in 2004. Where were all those extra people hiding in the 90s or even 2003?
Glory hunting plastics.

Maybe due to the fact that they moved from the 35,000 Maine Road to the 55,000 City of Manchester in 2003?
21 February 2018 at 11:53 am #166760Exactly. Bit like our jump from 4k to 7k upon moving to the JJB. Then of course from 11k to 20k when we made the prem.
Not many full houses in the 3rd tier for us.
