I love on here how there are two sides. I think the Martinez fan club are clueless about football and laugh when there only defence is that you must be a chubster when you voice your opinions.
Why dont we all get together and have a drink and a chat and debate on all matters. I would imagine this would be a good evening.
I would love to put faces to names and see who is who and then get someone to explain without laughing that Martinez is commited, learning and the right man.
It would be interesting though to see who turned up and had these discussions.
I would be there and in the Martinez out corner. Standish would be good to have there as he is deluded but puts up a good argument in the other corner.
Anybody think its a good idea?
This was suggested on the old site but as there are too many cyber warriors who wish to remain anonymous it will never come about. I have mentioned many times that I wear my avatar badge openly on match days. I used to drink in Pagefield before game but now we have started going back in the Brick. We often stand outside for a smoke back or front ! I am not a violent person hellbent on retribution because someone disagrees with me or calls me a dick because I understand the ethics of cyber posting so feel free to come over anytime, I may even buy you a beer !

The people who would not come are the ones shouting that everyone is a chubster and they have been around for years in case they are not known to anybody and get found out.
Lets do it, were all adults (I think) and all Wigan supporters.

I think it would be a brilliant idea. It is obvious from your first paragraph that you are completely open-minded (like a lot more on here) and an evening of good natured, reasoned debate, is therefore guaranteed. Rest assured that I will be willing to postpone or cancel any prior social engagements to participate. Please let me know when and where and I will be there (as long as it doesn’t clash with Coronation Street! )
