Took every ball. Jones is like vlad the impaler.
10 December 2017 at 1:45 am #164037Wouldn’t exactly say he was dodgy, his kicking was a bit off a couple of times, and noticed he swapped boots at half time, as did a couple of players.
He wasn’t really tested, but any handling he had to do, he did alright.
Jones terribly unlucky to pick up an injury just as Walton comes back, but that’s football.
Ps. Coldest I’ve been at a game for a long time. And no way there was 8806 on. A lot of ST holders probably gave it a miss. Can’t blame people with the weather, really.
10 December 2017 at 2:02 am #164038Thought Walton was excellent. He actually caught balls didn’t try that stupid punching that Jones does. If you thought he was poor you was definitely affected by the cold weather.
The weather was pretty dire for most of the game, maybe that prevented every kick from being on the money.
Glad to see the back of Jones for a few weeks at least. I always like a keeper looking a giant in-between the sticks, Jones looks like Jimmy Krankie in there. From Matlock to ManU

I don’t think Jones has done much, if anything, wrong. Seems a good lad, too. Considering we picked him up for free, he has been smashing. Perhaps it’s Walton’s height advantage that gives him more of a catching ability, I don’t know.

I wasn’t aware of any special deal to tempt people from their cosy houses and Wish FM!
10 December 2017 at 2:42 pm #164041Isn’t it good that we’re debating who is the better of two not-at-all bad keepers? Makes a change.
10 December 2017 at 3:09 pm #164042Me and Horc couldn’t work it out. Concluded it could have our best home attendance so far. It was cold wet and still 24 quid. Maybe it was the gap either side of this home fixture or league position. Let’s hope it continues.

10 December 2017 at 5:35 pm #164044Excellent point gl!
10 December 2017 at 9:22 pm #164045Excellent point gl!Is it balls an excellent point, no one is discussing who is the better keeper, the point is a keeper that has done nothing wrong for 3+ months has been dumped because the on loan keeper is fit again and the club is tied to a “he plays if he’s fit” contract.
It stinks!
Fuck the EFL
10 December 2017 at 10:04 pm #164046You really are paranoid, aren’t you?

You’ve been challenged before on things like this, rash generalisations of what you think is going on without any evidence whatsoever, and never come up with the goods on any one occasion.
Where’s your evidence that that is the case? Do you know, or just “think” there is such a contractual clause that the club is lying to us about?
Come on. Spill the beans.10 December 2017 at 10:12 pm #164048What is the extent of Jones injury? Will he be back for Tuesday or next Saturday? Can’t see Cook leaving him out if he’s right again as he says he likes to keep a settled side.
10 December 2017 at 10:18 pm #164049The only players i can think of who had this contractual thing of having to play, was bogdan, who thankfully got injured & had to return, & the godawful excuse of a goalie we had from stoke.
Cook did state that if jones had have been fit, he would have played. He has done nothing wrong to be dropped IMO.
10 December 2017 at 10:37 pm #164050You really are paranoid, aren’t you?I’d have thought being let back after the ban for his disgusting comments would have tempered his attitude, but sadly not.
