I would keep those in bold.
18 May 2018 at 7:20 pm #169233Reece james is the mystery to me. Frozen out all of a sudden. Something happened methinks.
18 May 2018 at 8:07 pm #169234Hes one of the most one footed players ive ever seen, he panicked if he had to use his right peg, when there was a break on or you could see a pass on, if it was on his right he would just turn away, pop it back onto his left and by that time the phase of play had moved on. He had fitness issues, and IMHO was an average player at best – steady, but offered nothing spectacular.
18 May 2018 at 8:20 pm #169235No real surprises.
Another one or two might leave yet, should they get an alternative offer offering a longer contract, more security and perhaps regular football.
It will be exciting to see who we bring in this summer.

From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!18 May 2018 at 9:31 pm #169239Janie Jones apart why would we want to extend the stays of the other four. They hardly played in league one. Bizarre.
Couple more academy youngsters leave without getting chance!
18 May 2018 at 9:32 pm #169240Is that the current South Korean international Ki Sung-yueng that has left Swansea because his contract has expired?
He’ll be snapped up by a top flight European team once his involvement in the World Cup is over.
19 May 2018 at 1:18 am #169243None off either list should even be considered for the Championship apart from James and Jones and those two only for cover.
19 May 2018 at 8:59 pm #169254I’d keep Gary Roberts, but only on the basis of him being an experienced head who will only be a bit part player, like coming on as a sub with 15 mins left.
19 May 2018 at 9:36 pm #169257No thanks, nice thought and by all means offer Gary some sort of roll at the club but what that could be and why after such a short time with us I just don’t know. He played very little part in League One but admittedly he gave 100% and did his best in the little match time he had. Putting sentiment aside though he just isn’t up to playing a part in The Championship.

Putting sentiment aside though he just isn’t up to playing a part in The Championship. If he can play great against Manchester City, I’m sure he can do the same against Norwich or Swansea City. Granted, a player to be used sparingly, but a very good professional to have in and around the squad and a player who can come on and either Nick a goal, or create something. We need to keep some experience.
Craig Morgan is the mystery for me. Hardly played at all really, last couple of seasons. I’m amazed we aren’t releasing him.

Yes his contract was up and no, they didn’t offer him a new one, so yes, “released”. I’m sure he won’t want to go to a league one club.

What a journey!24 May 2018 at 5:57 pm #169345Perkins has joined Rochdale
24 May 2018 at 6:13 pm #169347It’s a shame but I think we all expected him to move on. Hopefully after those 2 years are up he can come back in an off the field capacity as he strikes me as someone who could be a great coach and mentor.
