So he is having a go at supporters, claiming we think they can just “steam roll the opposition” in this league.
Thats RUBBISH. Nobody thinks, or has ever thought that about Cooks side.
And using the excuse that as a club we have previously struggled at this level….that for me is f****** desperate. He knows he is teetering on the edge, and is stalling the inevitable. Using other managers and completely different squads failings as an excuse to justify his own, the absolute bellend.
Royle needs to grow some bollocks and sack him tonight or in the morning. I have never heard anything like that, from any other manager. Unbelievable.
Will Marco Silva at Everton start using Mike Walkers failings whilst at the club as a justification of his own? And will Unai Emery be citing Bruce Rioch’s failings at Arsenal in a bid to defend his own shortcomings?

We have spent 7 seasons at this level and have been relegated twice. It’s not like we are an established Championship club or even a top tier club like if someone like Forest or Leeds were in this position. I think that is his point. He has barely taken us backwards has he?
As I said on the other thread there are plenty of our fans who seem to think we should be beating certain teams and should be well above where we are. Mentioning managers and players names that we have next to no chance of ever employing.
If I was managing a club that was punching above its weight and some Football Manager playing “expert” was having a go at me I would probably react as well.

You miss the point, Cooks current player choice and p1ss poor zip lob to the big lad are a couple o reasons why we are were we are.
If he grew some testicles he would have fookin gone for 3 pts at a struggling Derby side when it was for the taking but oh no that’s the fault of the fans who expect too much.
Cook do the right thing and leave. We need an ambitious manager who have the nuts to play to win and isn’t overwhelmed in the Championship which you clearly are.
You made a comment a few weeks back that you had no idea as to why the results weren’t coming. Well if you don’t know then that fans just waiting for the turd to come its way.How do we know that having an ambitous manager who plays 442 won’t mean we get stuffed every week?
We have one of the smallest budgets in the division and usually that is where you finish. We’ve signed league one players and injury prone veterans because that is what we can afford in the hope it works.
Perhaps Cook is too cautious at times and worries about the opposition but no doubt if he went all out attack and we got stuffed the same people would be booing him.

We are rapidly becoming a club that are accepting us being utter dogshit. I cant understand how so many just acquiesce to it all. Other clubs supporters would be up in arms and going nuts.When we walked out on 78 mins on Saturday, something I haven’t done in a longtime, I walked down the steps past people who were sat there, silent, almost in a trance. It was like a morgue. Is that what we have become? Jesus.

10 million is less than fuck all in this league hence why the players dont look good enough.

A guy who’s not scared of dropping his favorite players when their playing sh1t.
We won the FA Cup on a dream a far bigger dream than staying in the Championship. If you feel staying in the Championship is asking too much especially after watching us against some of the big clubs in this league then you should pack in going.
Saturdays performance all be it against a good side was still spineless. We can’t change the squad till Jan but we can change the manager.

I’m not getting into a Martinez v Cook debate I’m concerned about the now and for Cook to hint that it’s going to be hard to stay in this Division is p1ss poor. If he thinks it fine but theres no need to come out with it it just paints a negative picture of the club.So so far I’ve seen us play some of the favourites for promotion and bar Leeds and Brentford I would say were a match for any of them on our day.
The problem is, we’ve a manager who clearly doesn’t know how to get that extra 10% to get us over the line.
With positive thoughts and change of style and at times players and been braver we could be happily sat just outside the play-offs.
How would you feel as a Wigan player reading those recent paper comments I’d think, well if he feels we’ve not much hope then ……..We probably have no chance of getting Warnock but he would be a perfect fit, probably the best man manager in all 4 Leagues, something we desperately need

Biggest fault overall with Cooks teams is the rubbish away form which is now unacceptable and cannot continue.
My own take on this is a lack of intensity and belief when embarking on an away fixture almost like a passive acceptance and it is now well beyond a blip or bad luck in my view.
A good example was the Bristol City game when a seemingly rare away win was snatched away as a result of conceding a late corner which resulted from sloppy bad decision defending.
Last season it was do or die at high flying Leeds United and we all know what happened , we gained an incredible result.
The Stoke game is starting to look similar to the above one in my opinion and it will be interesting to see how that one goes.
Pressure onFor me Derby away spoke volumes about Cook and his negative away policy. There was a game we were fully in charge of against a poor Derby outfit.
At 0-0 it was there for the taking but opted for safety first and a point will do and paid the price.
Now if we were under the cosh I’d say yes a point would do but we werent and there was no better time to nick a game. Cook was actually telling players to clam it down which in turn lead to Derby pressing for their winner.
Like I said that was enough for me, here his Cook’s public write up:-“If people think that, in this division, we’re just going to walk over and steamroll the opposition, they’re very, very, very, very far from the truth.”
I think Cook is talking out his sh1tter. I cant think of 1 Latics fan who has ever thought that so were he got that crap from is beyond me, more negativity.
What fans are saying is, when were on top let’s try and win the game hey !! Steam roll them ? I doubt it Cooky more like a tonka toy over your foot
