Aye your right there, but Mcgleish hadn’t seen him play and so is kappo and de ridder24 August 2009 at 6:59 pm #6366A Birmingham cast off,

I think it just goes to show that Birmingham are as clueless as us.
24 August 2009 at 10:13 pm #6374Diego Forlan was absolute rubbish at Man Utd. Couldn’t buy a goal. Top scorer in La Liga following his move there.n Sometimes a player is OK with a different set up.
Funnily enough Denis Law was written off as a 15 year old because he was too weak and skinny. But he got a chance and the rest, as they say, is history. Don’t write them off until they fail.24 August 2009 at 10:20 pm #6375Diego Forlan was absolute rubbish at Man Utd. Couldn’t buy a goal. 24 August 2009 at 10:23 pm #6377Too add to the above.
Bramble was written off at Newcastle. Cattermole was never a feature at Middleborough. Heskey had his England career revived through us.
Need we say any more.
25 August 2009 at 12:21 am #6394And don’t forget that Port Vale fans were very upset when Andy Porter signed for us because he was so fantastic ;)
25 August 2009 at 3:12 am #6420At least, with just a week of the window to go, we’re finally being linked with a striker and not yet another midfielder. Hope, though, that Costly isn’t the only option and that Bob has got a gem hidden up his sleeve…

I cant understand this Bramble mentality. Bramble is not a good player, he is a mediocre player who will always have some massive faux pas up his sleeve ! Ok he is better than when we first signed him but come on he ain’t a Premiership standard defender and if anyone thinks he is then they are naive to say the least !

He doesn’t look comfortable on the ball, at all. Not a bad defender, but not as good as people make out. Always liable to misskick at the worst possible time.
25 August 2009 at 1:55 pm #6439Costly didn’t look up to much at Birmingham in the Championship – I can’t seem him having much of an impact here. Why we are signing Championship players is beyond me.
25 August 2009 at 2:23 pm #6443always said i dont trust whelan ,having worked for him ,too tight to spend but i think he as lost all ambition he must be very annoyed with the wigan public for not turning out,but it works both ways selling your best players does not send good vibes out to the public ,but end of the day only whelan knows what he is planning for .
