You can fool some of the people all of the time I suppose, even to the point of convincing them it was £5m of taxpayer’s money well spent.

Careful now, some folk can be extremely litigious.

Getting sick of hearing about this to be honest I didn’t watch the programme in my opinion it has gone on too long you never heard all this about the mother of another missing child Ben Needham then his mother may not have the funds to promote her agony for the public to consume

insensitive cants. if it were your daughter would you have the same view?

so you’re upset about 5m of taxpayers money eh?

and you are sick of hearing about it eh?

        shocking.

If it was my daughter I wouldn’t have been so insensitive to have left her unsupervised in the first place.
Why have they never been prosecuted for this?

“It’s not our fault she was abducted”.
Yes it was, if indeed that is what happened to her.

so you’re upset about 5m of taxpayers money eh?

Bloody well right I am if that’s the sum total of the “new crucial evidence” they can come up with.

          1. neither would I have left her unsupervised. So that makes it Ok for the kid then does it? Yes, you are insensitive.

2.Yes it was, if indeed that is what happened to her. Hmm. Be careful, I read your opening post

          3. 5m. does this affect YOU personally.?

No it doesn’t and I am not insensitive to the fact that a three year-old child went missing. However, I am insensitive to the way her parents have conducted themselves throughout this whole sorry affair.

Being a tax payer means it has affected me personally. What bit of that do you not understand?

There is substantial evidence on record to suggest she could have been murdered in the apartment by a person or persons unknown.

All though ss tragic as it is this episode of the McCanns and maddie the very thought that the drain of money on police forces through out the country due to cut backs is somewhat gone out of the window in the case of maddie

Not much funds was founded for Ben Needham 20 odd years ago

Let’s say they have not acted in a manner that I and many others believe is normal for parents who have lost a child in this way.

2 Being a tax payer means it has affected me personally

Since the government will not allow me to decided where my tax gets spent then all of it could have contributed to the £5m in question.
And why £5m on this particular case?

                  #122212

Answer the question. Stop swerving it.Are YOU personally affected. Have you made any cutbacks? Has your day to day life changed due to the 5m spent? Probably not. If so please let us know.
Btw can you tell me where you got the 5m figure from?

If you mean will my personal taxes increase because of the money spent on this investigation then the answer is obviously no.

Are you saying therefore that I shouldn’t question how my taxes are spent or that an already over burdened police force can waste £5m and two-year’s man power re-investigating a case that was already 4 years old when it started and had already been investigated and closed by two national police forces.
Based on last nights showing and the starling lack of any new real credible evidence, quite what the police have been doing in those two years is a complete mystery to me.

A quick search on Google will show that the £5m figure is a widely reported media estimate of the cost.

Maybe it was £5 million well spent if other people who consider it okay to leave their children unattended for a long period of time, re-think doing this next time they have the opportunity, therefore possibly saving another child’s life.

I am sensitive being a parent, but to leave three kids unattended (all under 4) for minimum periods of half an hour is not acceptable on any level. That said, they have had the ultimate punishment and no one knows this more than themselves.

Like I said, even if it serves as a public awareness message on how to be more aware of your kids whereabouts and safety, then it might just be worth £5 million.

A woman at work has just said, “in her opinion the kids were drugged so the McCanns could go out”

I have just had a stand up argument with her, that it’s more likely that they weren’t than they were and she should shut the f up.

I am sick to death of this case too, in that moaning bleaters see the need to kick off about money spent, what the parents did, might have done etc etc.

They made a terrible mistake which most parents wouldn’t do but they’re paying the ultimate price
