Agreed. These are the kind of games we need to win if we are not to be involved at the dirty end of the table come the end of the season.
Last season’s game was probably the most frustrating game of the season to batter a side and end up losing was hard to stomach any how it’s about time Schrawzer has a shocker for a change

I hope we win because when you think about it we have only won one, drawn one and lost two from the opening four games, the win coming against a side that has lost its opening four games and look like being this seasons whipping boys ! Ok the games lost were Man Utd and Chelsea but we should have brushed aside a very poor Stoke side with the benefit of home advantage and so therefore I would like to see an improved performance this weekend.On the whole I thought we were pretty poor against Man Utd and capitulated like a Wigan team of old !
On sat that we get all three points,not be easy against a Fulham side full of experiencePossible if both Berbatov AND Ramis (Alcaraz back in) don’t turn up.

Of course It’s not yet vital that we win this game.. but, it is an important one to win,to ensure we don’t embark on another losing streak like last year. As it happens, I think the Latics will be victorious on saturday. (saying that, I’m as bad as Lawro when it comes to predictions!)
As for next week, I will be going to the sunderland game with my two lads- staying in a cheap B&B in Roker and drinking far too much Mackem beer before and after the game!
