Jones isn’t here and Charlie is injured. Hardly going to make any difference this season. As for last night the Sunderland side riddled with injuries and resting players looked head and shoulders a better football side than us.
However in the second half we were on top and in control of the game until the first stupid substitution and giving away a silly penalty then Sunderland took control again. Whatever Kolo is trying to do it just isn’t working and that defeat was down to him.

I agree. The substitutions were the worst that I have witnessed in over 55 years of watching the Latics. KT brings on a Mon that wouldn’t get on the bench at Charnock Richard !

Enough Said.Donny …. Myself and horc pointed out to you on the bridge the other week, the PJ days have gone. Yes we all watch the dvd week on weekz but theres reasons why he failed everywhere else and the likes of Bruce, McCarthy etc have been found out. It isn’t 1988.
Why is Darikwa even getting picked? And captain? He is dire. If ever a professional footballer was a fraud, its this man. Stealing a living. Been bombed out of every club he’s been at. Truly an awful player.
Neither keeper is good enough either. Tbh, Im not bothered about any of the players, apart from probably Asgaard who, under a decent manager, will do well.
The club is in a really bad way, the squad is a shambles…a mess. Too many injury prone types in it…made of paper.I already dont think we’ve made the right appointment…as in the right appointment for Wigan Athletic at this moment in time. I dont think much of our owners, but I thought Brannigan was an experienced football man? Doesn’t seem like it. Nothing about our club impresses me at the moment though. No wonder fans are staying away…cant blame anyone.
