I quite liked the way we played high tempo, pressing football tonight oh no thats what i was expecting after all the newspaper talk.REALITY CHECK what a load of cow pat.
23 October 2014 at 1:28 pm #134373Could be some Derby déjà vu at weekend! If we get another battering off them I feel that it will set the wheels in motion for a little meeting in the office Sunday or Monday morning! If we just get beat by the odd goal then maybe just a final warning, mentioning that the next 3 games on paper are very winnable and anything less than 6 points is not good enough! By the way, how are you guys who commented on this thread earlier feeling now? The same? I reckon we could be languishing worse than 16th after 15 games eh ‘jrfatfan’!!
23 October 2014 at 3:40 pm #134381You appear to be absolutely dlighted by the fact that we’re still struggling.

23 October 2014 at 5:46 pm #134383You appear to be absolutely dlighted by the fact that we’re still struggling. There are indeed plenty people who delight in looking for, and seemingly revel in, the negatives to be found in the clubs’ plight.
Some of ’em, not necessarily Phil, simply disappear from view when things are going well. I think it’s a Wigan thing.
Ironoic really, as Phil and a lot of his mates are from Leyland/Chorley and should really support Preston. ;)

23 October 2014 at 8:02 pm #134386by gum griff that statement should ruffle some feathersSo what? I’ve said it for years – the people that get on my paps are the sniping, sneering cynical ones who have a list of things they are happy to chuck shit at but have no sensible solutions of their own to offer. They go silent when things are going well but trip over the keyboard desperate to log on at 5 o’clock on a Saturday when we have lost. They are generally the people who I fall out with on this forum. Sorry, I obviosly mean they are generally the ones I don’t allow to have an opinion.
I am one of those accused of blind faith in the club but it’s simply not true. I try to look for the positives, give the benefit of the doubt but I will criticise when I think it’s due.
And Phil is by no means the worst of this ilk, so I’m not purely having a dig at him. I fact, I know he does a lot of it for devilment.

You can only comment on how things are at that moment in time, hindsight is a wonderful thing.
I don’t feel embarrassed about saying those things, but apparently if we beat Derby on Saturday and go on a 8 game winning streak, you will be. :PFrom Matlock to ManU

What a ridiculous thing to come out with! I was merely pointing out that my concerns were and still are warranted! I was asking whether the ones who thought I was being too negative back then still thought the same/ had the same opinions as they wrote! Anyone thinking I am having a go is way off the mark, I am just asking the question as well as adding what I think may happen anon!
