4 goals in 4 starts for Rotherham.
Inspired move by Coyle or more of his ineptness at not recognising/nuturing talent right under his nose?Reckon he’d play well under Uwe’s style. Maybe in the frame for a recall given our lack of striking options?

Is that right? Saw he’d scored yesterday but didn’t realise he’s scored that many. Never really seen much to convince me he’ll cut it but then again I once sat next to him outside Little Fifteen’s for half an hour without even knowing it was him.
15 December 2013 at 9:35 pm #124845Griff, he scored a few for Blackpool at this level last season and my Blackpool mates were quite impressed with him. Apparently had a knack for getting on the end of stuff in the box – so I think I’d like to see him given a chance. He’s got loads more pace than our other front men, but then again I suppose that’s not too hard!

From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!17 December 2013 at 1:56 am #124924I’d have to see them against one another on a track but I would say yes he is faster than Macca! However, Callum is probably tricker/more skillful – who knows?

Otherwise, let’s go in for Hussein Bolt and a few other speedsters and win this league in a canter. :woohoo:
Personally, I’ve seen this lad play about half a dozen development squad games, about 5 or 6 sub cameos for the first team and he has looked tosh. I’m not saying that given a run he might do a job, however his impact when playing for us, doesn’t seem as good as the impact he has made with the loan clubs that have signed him. Bear in mind at Blackpool he came on from the bench in the main, to score a few goals.
I also think we may be a slightly better team than Rotherham, who he seems to be doing ok for at the moment. I’ve got a feeling that UR may actually let him go if we can get a few hundred thousand for him. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!21 December 2013 at 10:27 pm #125152You can make that six goals in five starts after today – and that is one division below where we are. Surely he will be recalled in January to give us options?
21 December 2013 at 10:35 pm #125154Especially when Powell leaves.

21 December 2013 at 11:04 pm #125161Powell may stay till end of the season yet.Shannon system,back waters,Salmon Run. ;)
23 December 2013 at 5:50 pm #125246Rosler has recalled him from the loan.
23 December 2013 at 10:25 pm #125268Rosler has recalled him from the loan.so does this mean powell is going back to man utd then. Dicko has stated he is surprised about the recall.
23 December 2013 at 11:12 pm #125271“The Frenchman has been in red-hot form for the Millers, scoring six goals in his last five appearances, including two in Saturday’s 3-3 draw with Wolves in League One.”
Maybe that’s why?
24 December 2013 at 10:36 am #125273It’s very simple , Powell’s off to Stoke leaving us short so back comes Dicko. Powell has been the difference between us closing in on a play-off place and us been in a relegation dog fight, thank god we had him for the few months we did. I just thank him for helping us and I’m in no doubt he will be a future of a new England team after the world cup.
24 December 2013 at 11:55 am #125274Uwe commented that we paid a heavy price (injuries) at Reading – he withdrew Powell and McManaman at half time – we also know Ben Watson was injured.
He made the comment that he bought Gomez on to try and control the pace of the game but in referring to a heavy price surely he didn’t just mean Ben Watson.
I think Powell and Macca are injured and he has bought Dicko back as cover.
24 December 2013 at 2:09 pm #125276Well if Powell is injured or about to leave its refreshing to see our manager act early to redress the problem.Just maybe under Uwe, Dicko may well keep up his purple patch and we continue to progress.
