What concerns me more is that it smacks of a bit of desperation by the club to be even considering Diouf and sends out a message that despite all the talk from Martinez that he was satisfied with the squad we don’t have enough strength in depth to cover for just one of our injured strikers.

Looking at our fitness and skill levels for the last 2 and a bit seasons, i may not be too wide of the mark.

Could you please ask your “senior” to explain to me, a mere spectator, how on earth a ‘professional team’ playing in the top division of the land, a league that is the most physically demanding in the world, how players from that team seem to hit the “wall” more than any side I have seen in the 7 + years I have been watching live premier league football.
As I brought up in my last post, could you also see if there is any reason despite gaining this ‘perceived legendary status in coaching’, how Martinez’s team cannot defend for toffee, don’t have the ability to string passes together, 5 passes in sequence was the most witnessed on football first’s extended highlights programme, sadly I counted after wondering during the game on Saturday how many complete passes this so called passing team actually made, as all I saw when watching and have done all season is our ability to get caught in possession or give the ball away un challenged on numerous occasions, it was once claimed my many, that fault lay squarely at the feet of Steve Bruce’s “deadwood” players who didn’t have the ability to adapt to the new system, perhaps your “contact” could shed light on this anomaly.
Last but not least does your expert have any inkling, how we coach dead ball techniques, because for the life of me I am sure a crown green bowler gets the ball over the first man more than we do.

when we play well we are capable of passing it well. figueros goal against birmingham came after about 20 passes and there have been others. wind me up that we have shown little of this in the past few games. However, each of those games we were expected to loose so sod it, lets just stuff villa to make up for it!
