I have no idea why you lot on here bother with Griff
You know –
what he looks like
where he drinks
where he works and lives
that he has a good imagination andyou know that the likes of him have ruined this message board

27 September 2011 at 11:35 pm #71857Can’t stand the old fishing malarkey myself but don’t mind watching someone else do it whilst i get trolley’d in the sunshine.
Remember throwing ballast off the railway tracks into the middle of the limey when the gate keeper threw us off the public path. Probably to the annoyance of Arky and his chums, Was only a nipper though, Saying that how long do you fish on there before you start to get bored of yanking jonnies out. Been cleaned out now though and re-opened i think.

28 September 2011 at 3:07 am #71875Last but not least does your expert have any inkling,
At what point did I say my contact, who is a senior figure in the amateur game, was an expert? He merely knows things. [/quote]
First you made an outlandish statement as to why diouf is training with us :-
I understand that, within the game, Martinez’s traning regime is getting somethingn of a reputation, which is why people like Dave Jones asked to come to train with us rather than anybody else.you then went on to defend that same statement by using that old chestnut – ‘I ‘know’ someone in the ‘know’, so i must ‘know’ more than you ‘know’, type statement’, something you actually do regularly to anyone on here not in tune with your outlook, or more so Martinez’s football philosophy.
I have no reason to doubt my source who is someone fairly senior in the amateur game in Lancashire. So why use him to justify you claims if he is a mere layman like the rest of us and not a true “expert”, after all my mate ginger dave thinks martinez is a useless **** but i don’t use his opinion to defend my arguments.

It really doesn’t matter whether you believe me that I have talked to someone or not, in the grand scheme of things, does it?
And you still aren’t getting that “he knows things” can mean that my statement is correct without it being any comment whatsoever on the quality of Martinez’s training. How would I know if it’s any good? I’m never there, am I.
But, it can still be true that Dave Jones wanted to train wtih Wigan because of the type of training that they do. That doesn’t mean it’s any good, just that Dave Jones thinks it is. Ergo, there is a chance that, by the same token, Diouf was training with us for the same reason. I never actually said that was the reason now, did I?

You may have to lift me a little higher these days, Probably better hanging me of the spiked fence upside down. Is that capsized boat still in the estuary. :D
29 September 2011 at 12:06 am #71908He’s one man. Even if he signs, I’m not going to stop watching the team I’ve been supporting for thirty years. It might take the pressure off Gomez, though and give the boo boys someone else to target.
29 September 2011 at 1:05 am #71911estuary, ha ha
yes, and it’s not in the Limey it’s in the cut, it’s also stuffed with big bream. ;)
the cut that is, not the boat.
