To be honest attendances in the cup were generally bad not just in Wigan.Cardiff took 300 to Newcastle which is not good for City of that magnitude. Stadiums were half empty everywhere probably due to having played 2 league games in a couple of days then have to cough up for a cup game so soon after xmas. As for mutty how can you take him seriously? or anyone else for that matter who can even think they can compare football to egg chasing. Latics surrounded by Liverpool, Everton, City and Utd. That other lot surrounded by St Helens Warrington and Leigh and they still cant attract a decent crowd.
