I really think giving a little more time he will pull the team outta the shit we got into on Saturday and the likes of the results against Chelsea,Liverpool and Arsenal last season I’m sure alot of people was calling for his head last season and again after the 4-0 thumping, But i think he will maybe give us a good cup run…By gawd I hope!!!
The team and unfit and poorly organised, for the first time I think Martinez should go. One day he’ll be a top manager but this is far too much for him at the moment, he needs to learn the basics.
If Whelan doesn’t sack him he should at least get some new coaches in, people who can get us playing as a unit.

Sorry Donnelly i cant agree one bit. I was on the wagon as were many thousands leading up to yesterday hoping that Martinez will come good, will have learned from the harsh lessons we got taught last season. However his arrogance in keeping with the same system and woeful tactical decisions leads me to denounce that sentiment has no place here any more. We have to get rid for the good of our club. We are falling apart and its only the first game. I would love to come on here on saturday evening and praise a gallant performance against Chelsea but i know it will be more of these threads. Im still reeling yet from yesterday and still cant quite believe it happened. There are problems in our club that run further than team selection but god knows what and its having a major effect on the teams performance. if you picked a 2-2-2-2-2 formation you would still not fall apart like our boys seem to do every season. Something has to change quickly and drastically before our season is over before it begins. We will more likely be bottom for the end of the month and after the Spurs game i reckon he will be gone. They don’t. I said on another post that Boselli was holding the ball up waiting to set up somebody else to take it, but there was NOBODY going ahead of him to create the chance.
