There is a poll on Cherry & White about whether Warriors’ fans also attend Latics games, I thought it would be interesting to see if the divide really is as big as their stats (currently 90% dont watch the Latics) suggest.
Is it really one town, two teams, never the twain shall meet, or do more Wiganers follow both sports than these websites suggest?
The question is exactly the opposite of the one on C&W.
16 April 2011 at 1:05 pm #63593Good of you to put this on just as most of the users of this board will be on their way to Blackpool, wierd that when you first suggested this yesterday.
I think you may have to wait until Sunday evening/Monday before you get much of a response…
FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that
16 April 2011 at 1:52 pm #63595Yesterday when I suggested a poll, I wasnt even aware a mere poster could put one on, but as I found out I could, I thought I would!
I deliberately put it on now, as some of the Mods on here sometimes “change things” to suit their clientele. By putting it on now, it stands a chance of being read in its intended form, rather than how a biased moderator would like you to vote!
Enjoy your day (and night!) at the seaside today!
16 April 2011 at 3:08 pm #63597The answer is no. Do watch it on TV from time to time, but I watch most sports to be honest.
16 April 2011 at 3:41 pm #63599And there was me thinking this was a poll about a fight with swords or pistols.
Do you perchance mean “dual sports”?
16 April 2011 at 4:53 pm #63600What about Jewell sports a blazer that is too small for him !!
17 April 2011 at 3:09 am #63651What do you reckon?

Oh the irony

I personally think the question of ‘do you watch a football team as well as worriers’ would boost that figure up no end. As has been said a million times, the main sport in Wigan is football, but Latics aren’t the number one football team supported.
18 April 2011 at 3:05 am #63702I watch the rugby a lot because I like the game and am proud that I come from a town that has a rugby team that is known throughout (some of) the world.
Most of its fans, however, are a complete embarrassment to the town.

Are you the ‘one’ then griff?
Weird, as I know of at least four who come on here that watch both….. maybe they’re working.

18 April 2011 at 7:12 am #63717Never been on Menstral Park in my life and proud of it. having put up with all the total dirge and sometimes sheer vitriol from the other lot since 1969-70 just because i happen to be a Wigan Athletic fan. I cant really say how I really feel about that mob as this site will probably move this post as it seems to be against any anti-rugby slating. Never watched them never will not even on the box.
18 April 2011 at 11:37 am #63718Probably fair to say that the attitude of some rugby fans have alienated a lot of Latics fans, It’s amazing how many of the muppets still think Whelan sold CP, nothing to do with their greedy board at the time then!
