I have been to games in the past, like when I worked at Wish FM I had to go ‘entertaining’ in corporate for most games in the season. Never got into the sport though, really don’t see the attraction or how people can get excited about it.
I quite like it as a spectator sport at times (depending on the game) & have played (end enjoyed it) at school & university
but I don’t have anywhere enough interest in it to have the desire to fork out my hard earned cash to watch it on a regular basis or even to have a team whose results I look out for – at a push my team would either be Leigh (being a bongsmon) who I have paid to watch in the past or St Helens (being my adopted hometown)
I dislike the Warriors & their supporters with a passion for reasons too long winded & dull to go in to
No I hate the barstewards and my son does too, even though 2 of his mates have signed with their academy which may give us a dilemna in a few years time.
I love rugby and was so proud when Johnny Wilks put one over the Aussies. Used to love having a pint in Orrell RU’s clubhouse too even though I didn’t have a clue what was happening on the pitch.
Never been on Menstral Park in my life and proud of it. having put up with all the total dirge and sometimes sheer vitriol from the other lot since 1969-70 just because i happen to be a Wigan Athletic fan. I cant really say how I really feel about that mob as this site will probably move this post as it seems to be against any anti-rugby slating. Never watched them never will not even on the box.
My sentiments exactly Nun,40 years a Latics fan,and never once felt the inclination to watch that sh1te,even in the eighties when every fecker jumped on the `wembley` bandwagon!
