For what it’s worth I contacted the Efl questioning why the punishment dealt out to Wigan (Pts deducted)was different to Readings(Owners paltry fine). I pointed out their press release stating they felt it non constructive to punish the club and supporters further was so inconsistent with the swift penalties applied to us for virtually the same regulation breaches. This is their reply I received today….Only hardens my personal opinion.that they have a hidden ajenda against us….maybe not even hidden now….”Thank you for contacting the EFL, we acknowledge your comments.

Broadly speaking there are very rarely any two Club cases and/or judgments that are the same. This is due to the fact that there are likely to be unique Club-specific aggravating factors in relation to regulatory breaches. In the case of Wigan Athletic and Reading, in summary there were differences in the number of breaches, contrasting periods over which time deposit amount sums were obtained and more notable delays in payment settlements.

It is of course worth clarifying that cases are determined by an Independent Disciplinary Commission based on the presented facts of each case. We would recommend, should you wish, that you read the detail and rationale of the decisions in full on EFL.com here.

I hope that information has provided additional clarity and thank you for contacting the EFL.

      Kind Regards

I wouldn’t expect anything else from them. The only way the EFL corruption ends is, if all 72 clubs vote to leave the EFL and form their own governing body were members are voted in by the clubs.
I keep saying it, corruption follows money, bigger the pot, bigger the corruption.

These at the top are corrupt and keep it a closed shop. Brown paper bags, overseas bank accounts, properties bought incognito it’s all there.

The EFL do not like us so the punish us that bit more, not enough to create a stink but just enough to be questioned then they can use the:
Every case should be judged on its own merits.

I just hope in my life time some get put behind bars and like a dealer stripped of every asset they have

I also emailed them requesting clarification on the transfer embargo….asking for information regarding which ,(if any) clubs are presently subject to one. ….I accessed the link provided but it states “There are currently no clubs under embargo”..!!!…….This is their reply…..”RE: Transfer Embargos
          Hello

Thank you for your e-mail, we appreciate you getting in touch.

The EFL has an embargo reporting service on its website HERE, which outlines Clubs who are currently under an embargo and provides an embargo FAQ here.

In addition, EFL Clubs agreed at the Summar AGM earlier this year, that the non-payment of HMRC debt has been added as a trigger of Regulation 52.6, so Clubs who accumulate 30 days of late payments in a 12-month period will be unable to sign a player for a fee or any consideration for three full transfer windows. The amendment to the 30-Day Rule also provides for Clubs to self-report late payment of any debt covered by Regulation 52.6, plus a right of appeal for Clubs triggering the 30-Day Rule. Regulations 17.1 and 17.3 can be accessed via the EFL.com website here.

We are not able to comment any further on specific Clubs or the length of time they may or may not be subject to an embargo. We would recommend you contact the relevant Club if you wish to seek further information.

Thank you for contacting the EFL.”

          Kind Regards

We would recommend you contact the relevant Club if you wish to seek further information.”…….F### me what a cowardly organisation…..what ???…is this information party to the official secrets act ?…..

To try resolve my confusion I forwarded them an email asking why their embargo reporting page shows “no clubs presently under a transfer embarg”…..This is today’s reply……..”Thank you for your replies, we appreciate you getting back in touch and I apologise if there is any confusion.

As can be read in the Embargo Reporting Service FAQ, the Clubs agreed for the EFL to publish all Clubs who are under a registrations embargo. Outside of this, Clubs may find themselves subject to certain restrictions (based on any previous payment defaults) which might, for example, mean they can still register players but not sign anyone for a transfer fee, compensation fee or loan fee (as per Regulation 52.6).

Whilst there may be Clubs who are subject to these restrictions, they would not appear on the Embargo Reporting Service as they are not strictly under a ‘registration’ embargo, as per the above they may still be permitted to register players as long as they are not for a fee.

I hope we have been able to clarify matters for you. We can only suggest you contact the Club in question, if you are looking for specific information.

Thank you for contacting the EFL.

              Kind Regards

In today’s footballing climate, how many lower league players are signed by a club for a fee?. Most are end of contract, been released, or loans no fee agreed wage split. Clubs in the lower end just don’t have the finances to double whammy it, signing fee and wages.

So this confuses me with us, due to 2 admins and been skint would the ability to sign someone for a fee actually make a difference to our transfer signings?, I don’t think it will make a sod of difference.

If Maloney went to the whoever’s in charge and said I want him say £750,000 do you think Danson would say go on then ?.
My whole point is, we are under no restrictions and we’d be doing the same type of business
